you could take the hard out if you are careful. I replaced mine with 20g hard several months ago.
I am not aware of any usb cdrom drive that works under dos.

i got this laptop two years ago, it was $1200 (refurb.) and I am still using it, though I would buy a better laptop with a bigger screen if I had enough money.

about transfering os, laplink is the best.

That dead pixle comment worries me. Can other people please tell me about there laptops condition if they purchased from here or compgeeks. I cant stand a dead pixle. What do you have for scratches?

Sorry for all the questions but I have one more, do you get the port repllicator with the laptop. That was not clear to me on the web site.

The port replicator comes with the laptop, and I have no scratches or dead pixels on the screen. The outside body is pretty banged up though... not that I really care.
