I'm going to give it a try and if they won't cough up, small claims court only costs 20 bucks to file. They may just decide to back off and give it up just to keep the store manager from having to spend a day down there. >>
Please, don't mess with a poor store manager. A better idea is to find out which company represent Best Buy in your state. For example,
C T Corporation System is the agent for Best Buy and a few other national businesses in Missouri. I got a feeling that CT, a company that been around since 1936, has offices in few major cities. Those who run the business might get upset if a series of small claim cases with CT named as Best Buy representive suddenly was filed.
I'm no lawyer and this maybe all BS. But, when someone calls from Best Buy or CT, I be saying that I'm going to contact my state's AG and also MN AG to file a complaint against Best Buy. Then casually mention that you might attempt to call Gov. Ventura, since he seems to be for the little guy.
I don't have no dog in this fight. I figured that BB would do a CYA on the issue.
