Where is the Amazon rebate form located? Does it come up later in the ordering process?

Nevermind...looks like I'm too late for this deal... I see that both rebates have expired!!

I just got one of these also but now I have to take all my phone numbers and memos (hundreds or thousands) from my Palm V and put it all into this pPC. Anyone know a way to do this without having to type them all in??

Thanks

Yes, there is a program that came with my Ipaq a long way back called Peacemaker. Look around, if it isn't freeware, I am not using my copy so I would be happy to give it to you.

I got my E335; in case you didn't see the battery issue, if you let your Toshiba/E335 run out of battery, you'll lose everything on your PDA (assuming it's not backed-up, or mirrored, to your PC or some SD-card). All of memory is powered by the same Lithium battery; just leaving it 'off' on your desk will eventually (i.e. days/week?) drain the battery(!).

Just for peace of mind, a nice battery display would be useful. Here's two I found:
- $10 Battery Pack
- free TodaysInfo
I'm using the (freeware) TodaysInfo for now, just to see if I ever encounter running out of power; I cradle-in daily, and I am not a power-user so I don't expect to run out of power very often, if ever. I figure if TodaysInfo doesn't cut it, I'll splurge for the BatteryPack (which does have lifetime upgrades, and adds a nice menu bar).

I'll probably be getting a Lexar 256MB SD over at amazon for $52 (after rebate), just to have more capacity. (Watch out for SanDisk, rumored to have problems with Toshiba.)

This is pretty common knowledge for many PDA's...not just Toshiba's (Used to happen all the time with my Palm III...and that didn't have rechargable batteries! You had four hours after the battery died to get new ones in or you'd lose everything). Just do a backup, or, preferably, put everything on a SD card. I think the memory will hold for about 20 hours after the battery dies.

I have two issues with my ppc.
1. the processos on the ppc's are supposed to be MIPS, SH3, or ARM. Some programs I want to download ask me which one it is. Now mine says on it intel (R) PXA250-I don't know which one that correspnds to-do you??

2. I have some docs that I used in Palm tealdoc-anyone know of any comparable reader in ppc that reads tealdoc docs??

3. I have some hacks and fonts on Palm Hackmaster-would they work on the PPC?

I tried researching it and did find answers and I am afraid to install the wrong program on it for fear of breaking it. can anyone help???

I have the same question about MIPS, SH3, or ARM? It's amazing that when you download it is asumed you know this from birth. Yet research it in the manual... nada.

BTW, I love this toy. Yes it's a flashlight, that's not always bad, in fact real handy at night when your on your last hand of Solitar and you hear the cat throwing up somewhere nearby...

Yup, download the arm version because X-Scale is intel's Arm version 5 chip, while their Strongarm, SA-1110 @ 206mhz was Arm version 4. X-scales will run arm software in emulation mode, and everything arm runs on x-scales, it seems.

X-scale specific software should start showing up once Pocket PC 2003 comes.
