Toshiba R25 release date?

I cant wait to get one of these tablets... infact, I'm getting three of them. Does anyone know when they are being released?

I would assume any time from a week to 3 weeks from now. I've had my eye on it too. I'm just still debating whether a tablet pc would better suit my needs for a university when i transfer there this x-mas vs a macbook. I dont care about graphical power. I just want something that processes fast, allowing me to video edit, photo edit, listen to music, web browse, do hmwk, and voice/video chat. The R25 is quite a bit thicker then the macbook, but being a tablet is just neat. My uncle has one, so I've gotten to play with it. Perhaps I can get rid of all my paper notebooks for once with a tablet pc. What do you think, Quasmo?

Onenote is AWESOME. When I get mine I'm definately getting rid of all my paper. On another note, I too plan to use this to edit video, being a film major, this will really help me on location shoots to look at depth of field charts.

I've had my Toshiba Qosmio for almost two months now. I did have an issue with a hard drive (Western Digital 100 GB) but that took only three days to resolve from making the initial call to tech support to getting the drive replaced. I even got a call from a independent survey company inquiring about my repair issue and resolution and I gave Toshiba high marks.

BTW, I've been really abusing this bad boy since acquiring it in May and it keeps on chugging with all I've been throwing at it. Sure I've heard some sh!t about Toshiba after the fact but I've been satisfied with the quality and performance and up to this point and hope to be satisfied far in the future (sound of knocking wood).

Whats so great about the R25 it just looks like almost every other tablet I've seen except with shiny new processors etc? Of course I'm sure it will flop like every other tablet out there.

I don't blame you after reading that article. But I'm in it for the long run now that I acquired my Toshiba so let the chips fall where they may. So far so good and in anycase my portable is not for primary use anyway. It is just something I take to work for my breaks and is more of a novelty than my workhorse. But it is working out great for me at the moment and I'm optomistic that it's going to do well for me for me as a portable home theater and gaming pc.

Hm. Ok. So does anyone here know what the thinnest dual-core tablet PC is? I'm in the market for one (though I still currently have my eye on the black MacBook), but I also want thin and mobile.

After some research, the Fujitsu-Siemens LifeBook T4210 tablet PC looks really appealing. What do ya'll think?

Thats the tablet I want! However budget may force me to get this freaking R25 or the HP tablet.
