step-dawg: yes, it does come with the Geforce2Go chip.. Toshiba is/will be the first laptop vendor to include this chip..

Davinci -- they waiting period, i think, is not a part of the company.. or maybe it is.. this laptop is not available anywhere (it is the laptop I am most interested in buying because of the features..) and does not have a scheduled release date.. they are probably setting up a 4-8 week waiting period because it is due to be released in that time period.. the price is good..

I couldn't find any info on this company anywhere.. anyone got any ideas ?

man i want to order this laptop but i want warranty also.....bestbuy has cool warranty info but price is 2700,.....ouch plus 250 for 3 year warranty = 3000 thousand bucks....ouch!!!

I think the warranty is about the same if you get it directly from the manufacturer

I bought this Laptop from CompUSA when they had the 10% a few days ago. The price after tax was close to $2700.

$2750-$275+8.25% (tax) = $2700

I haven't opened it yet, I'm still not sure if I want to keep this laptop or not. It is a kick ass laptop tho...freakin powerful. But not enough tests/benchmarks for the video card. I need to know if this videocard can handle quake3 and CS well.

This Laptop is available and has been for over a week, as I am typing on it right now. $2649 paid +tax, not available at any online shops yet, as thisis supposedly Retail only. who knows. Awesome laptop btw

Got it from Compusa on the 28th? of Feb. I had been calling Toshiba for weeks pestering them for the release date. I have installed and played both of the games you mentioned along with others like Kingpin and Delta Force2 and Asheron's Call. While I have never owned a laptop before (due to the fact that the video always sucked hard), I must say this is one of the better ones I have seen. Build qaulity is excellent with no squeaky, flexing case; very large bright screen (one dead pixel barely noticeable).
I have not performed any benchmarks save the 3dmark 2001 test, I will have to look it up in a few. It's missing irda and a serial port. One wow factor for me at least, was the inclusion of a built in smartmedia slot underneath the dvd/cdrw

One thing to note, the P3 1000 mhz speedstep notebook processors are coming out this week so if you want the best and fastest, you may want to hold off a bit.

I see that DELL is out with a laptop using the GeForce2Go chip.....and the mSRP is lower but man it doesnt have the 3 in 1 optical drive......purpose of laptop is convinience..no point is swapping out burner for Dvd....?? Anyone know where to get this at a good deal PLEASE PLEASE e-mail me SOON!!!!

Ever try doing a cd to cdr-w copy with a combo drive? And yes,I know you
can make an image first,but that is not the question!
