Touchsmart 300z, smart choice?

I'm considering purchasing the Touchsmart 300z mostly because it is aesthetically pleasing as well as it is All-in-one. However I'm not quite sure it will meet my needs as the maximum memory is 4GB.

I would like to know if the Touchsmart 300z will be able to simultaneously run Outlook, Photoshop, Autocad, Word, Excel, and IE (with several tabs open) smoothly. If not, what would be it's limitations in terms of software it can run?

The touchsmart will not make a very good CAD system. The system can easily run all but CAD at the same time. CAD needs allot of horse power to stay smooth and the more RAM and CPU power you have the better. At best the touchsmart systems are oversized laptops. I'm sure you wanted to use the screen like you would a nice Wacom tablet but it wouldn't have the same persision. The biggest issue is probably that GPU.

All-in-ones aren't generally regarded as powerhouse computers, so you might be asking a bit much as far as your stated needs go.

While 4GB RAM should be sufficient in the short term, the fact that you can never upgrade beyond that is a serious limitation.
