This type of card is my first choice. Still I will wait until christmas or so, as the gain is not worth the bucks imo. Than a complete rebuild should make a huge difference. :beer: That is if either of these companies actually release something in any real numbers.

Hehehe, whichever card I get, the fan/heatsinks are coming right off and a big old mother of a waterblock is getting mounted in it's place.

It is my understanding that the default design of the GT is single slot. Are you saying that most manufacturer's will opt for a bigger fan/heatsink that will make it two slots?

all i'm saying is i hope manufacteers stick with the one slot design

sorry jus the way it looks reminds me of the 5800U.........certainly fooled me the vga silencer doesnt look nearly as prominant as this one does.......still sureitll be a good overclocker...or maybes not review sites havent had much luck OC'ing any of the new cards

No, I am only hoping that one manufacturer opts for a cooling solution that exhausts the 100W+ outside the case instead of back inside. Most of the cards will probably use the single slot reference design.

I do not understand why people would want a single slot design that exhausts 100W+ into their case. The only two reasons I can think of are that they have uATX cases or half a dozen pci cards.

Its funny how when an ATI partner releases a dual slot design, everyone just kinda goes with it. And then when nVidia does the same, its OMFG YOU GUYS LOOK HOW HUGE IT IS IT SUCKS BALLS!

dual slot solution is ok

dual slot + noise is not ok by me

I prefer the 2 slot abit OTES design. It pulls the heat out of the case and isnt loud by any stretch of the word.

HAH! how true, sort of. I didn't even realize i type HO by accident, and never noticed the calibur thing either lol!

As for the 2 slot solutions. Oh we don't mind 2 slots, as long as its QUIET, and has GOOD DESIGN (ala blow the effin air OUT THE CASE PLZ, NOT INSIDE THX NVIDIA YOUR SO INGENIOIUS)
