Toys R' Us - Mortal Kombat (360/PS3) for $29.99 after instant savings and coupon!

toys r us comes out with booklets around the year that are filled with coupons. this months coupon has one that gives $10 off either the ps3 or 360 version of mortal kombat. its valid until may 15th i believe. however, starting sunday may 1st, mortal kombat will be on sale for $39.99 ($20 off after almost 2 weeks of being on sale!), and so using the $10 off coupon from the booklet will make it $29.99!

i bought my copy today for $49.99 and am getting it pricematched next week down to $29.99 (after next weeks $10 discount and the $10 coupon).

the booklet you need to look for either has michael jackson on the front cover or a black nintendo 3DS with three lego star wars characters on it. my local toys r us store only had the old booklets, but the next store i went to had tons of the new booklets on hand.


on another note, the person at the video game counter knew *exactly* what i was doing, and was totally happy i knew about it. he was waiting for more ps3 copies to come in - apparently more people are buying the ps3 version than the 360 version, probably because kratos is an exclusive character.

could be different for each store, but the two that i went to had to had the books in the video game section near the register. they were just sitting there in stacks!

This is seriously the best Mortal Kombat game i've ever played. It's almost exactly like the old Mortal Kombat 2 gameplay-wise with next gen graphics and sound. It is just as addicting as when i blew hundreds of dollars in quarters on the game back in the day. Fun!

Oh wow. Thanks man. I love fighting games. I tried out mortal kombat for abit, and the combo's are quite hard. Maybe becuase I come from a street fighter background. Oh well, I need a PS3 Version. Thanks for this needed info.
