You'll need to enter the settings of your router to properly disable the TP-Link HomeCare feature. That can usually be done with a particular web page login or a setup utility / applet. Don't disable the extender. Disable the "TP-Link HomeCare" web filtering feature in the router or the main TP-Link device. Most web browsers already have something like this built-in and the TP-Link filter seems to be a bit over-zealous.Thanks but sorry I am not understanding. I don't want to disable the tp link extender as I use it for outside when the Verizon router can't reach. I only need to allow my computer's to access these few sites belong blocked.
I am wondering if giving Verizon a call if they might be able to help with this?

I think the page hijacking / blocking feature isn't done with software on the computers and other client devices. It's likely done with a DNS service in the TP-Link router settings.All of these Wireless related gadgets with software are Not really vetted globally/carefully by the manufacturers.
It is much better not to use them, instead resort to Wireless hardware that does not insert software (like the above) on the users' computer.
That said some of the devices need the software to configure the device, then the software can be removed and the device keep working on its own.
I addtion if One reads the device manaul, in many cases the manaul gives the info on how to install the device directly from the Computer's browser (info about IP. Ports and user/passweord), the installation can be done from the browser and No need to install the propriety software at all.

Entering Google DNS manually on one of your devices would allow that device to bypass the filtering, but the ideal resolution is to disable the filter feature in the router.It has nothing to do with DNS. Public DNS like Google's in most cases will not protect you.
Most likely when you trying to visit a website, the TP-Link Deco system with TrendMicro malware/virus protection will forward that info to its data center's database. I doubt it has a local database in its firmware.
If the website is in the malware/virus database, it then sends back a message asking the system to block the site.
The database won't be 100% correct, so you need to unblock the site manually if you think the site is legit.
