They could price it at $2,000+

As long as its the FASTEST GPU, it'll sell (lots of folks bought Titan). Unlike the Titan Z.

Eh, I'm sure there would be buyers, but at 2K I'd pass on them because I'd want two and $4,000 for 2 cards is getting to the point there are better things to do with that money. I'm expecting $1,000. Maybe they'll surprise us and not do a geforce titan and just release a 6GB 980ti for $750 or something.

Then your e-peen is not STRONK enough!

If its the FASTEST, it commands much respect from your fellow man. All the women will swoon knowing you are packing TWO FASTEST GPUs EVER!

ps. I think you'll still buy it at $2k... seriously, bruh! It's nearly twice as fast as Titan!!

you need to look at table again...they are using ultra textures on Titan like I said.

What textures can be used says nothing about how fast the GPU is, so the texture setting is irrelevant. The different AA settings on the two GPUs are significant: they imply the Titan is faster, which it is not.

If only I had the same amount of women proportionally to the amount of GPUs I owned, I would be dead by now. But it didn't work out like that... I still live in my mom's basement.

(the last part is not true)

haha, I'm sure I'd be tempted, but I like to set limits and that would be too much for something I know I'd be replacing less than a year later. Also my wife still is not impressed with any of my gaming PCs and would be less impressed with a $4000 upgrade. I'm really just hoping they won't be more than $1000 :awe:

I think they will price it a bit more than $1000 as well.

I think this time, they want to switch the 780Ti and Titan positions, i.e. Titan II will be faster than 980Ti. There's still room for another card inbetween with 2560 shaders, whether 256, 384, or if something silly like 320-bit is possible again on this architecture.

Titan II 3072 @ $1200?
980Ti 2560 @ $800?

you are not making any sense at all. please pay attention to what is being said. Titan could run ultra texture because it has more vram where the faster 780 ti was limited to high textures because of having only 3gb. it is the faster 780 ti thats running higher more demanding AA so what you keep saying is backwards.

I bought the first Titan... I just can't do it again. Ebay got me good on fees.

A $2k card that will be beaten by next years $330 mid-range. But I doubt they'll price it above $1500.

You know that's wishful thinking for us Canadians. The top after-market 980 cards such as MSI Gaming and Windforce are $750-800 CDN after tax. With CDN dollar giving up to the USD, a $1000 USD Titan II will be ~ $1150 CDN or $1300 after tax! But I guess that's the price to pay to get cinematic 25-30 fps at 4K in Ubisoft's Division.

If Titan II has 3072 CUDA cores, it's possible Titan II Black ~ 1080Ti will actually beat Titan II by another 15-20%. If those 1390 Boost clocks are true, then it's likely Titan II not the fully unlocked version. NV's large die tends to clock worse than their mid-range chips. If NV is targeting such high clocks, they are probably maximizing yield with some disabled units. Maxwell shows that it can overclock really well but yields obviously are not perfect yet given how many CUDA and TMUs were disabled on the 970.

I think I'd rather get a nice 32" IPS screen and dual 980Ti/1080Tis over the Titans. The 12 GB of VRAM seems like overkill and extra DP performance is worthless for games. The premium attached to these features is wasted on gaming performance.

The table shows 2xMSAA for the 780 Ti, and TXAA for Titan. You are claiming 2xMSAA is more demanding than TXAA. That is false.

I bought 4 Titans at launch last time. Couldn't pass-up making a nice profit on them via eBay/Amazon, although I did sell one (at cost) to a fellow ATer.

If they can sell a 4GB 398mm² GPU for $329.99 there's no reason for a 6GB 551mm² card to be $2,000 or something ridiculous. I'm sure Nvidia will have a high enough profit margin at $999 to maintain it's "traditional" Titan pricing structure.

The only thing that needs to go down in price is the GTX 980 because a Titan II with 50% more cores will be significantly faster than GTX 980 SLI when you factor in frame latency, it could be 20-30% faster than GTX980 SLI in minimum framerate and cheaper as well? Makes no sense.

Its likely the 12GB card is for a Quadro version - with the original Titan card, the Quadro/Tesla versions were shipping for months before to high level customers. In this case,we have not heard a thing, which makes me think that he Quadro/Tesla versions will launch at the same time as the consumer Titan version.
