eVGA.com has received your RMA shipment and your stepup is in process. Once your RMA has been completed, you will be notified through the email address you supplied during the RMA submission process.

Same here, hopefully tomorrow.

Sent my 2 7800GT's out on tuesday, so hopefully it'll get there either tommorow or friday (using USPS priority mail, which is pretty quick, 3 days at most).

What sucks is that I live in New York (all the way on the east coast) and it's gettting shipped to California (all the way on the west coast).
Shipping was $20 a box using USPS (priority mail).

The thing is, if you don't send it priority, then it could take a week or more to get there (cause I've tried it) which is a little slow IMO and the price difference isn't THAT much.

Well, got oblivion today too, so I WANT MY CARDS!!
(stuck playing oblivion on a 9800XT, which sucks)

USPS also has a Flat Rate Priority Box... If you can fit it in the box, it ships for $8.10 regardless of weight. Be sure and add insurance on top of that though. USPS tracking sucks for the most part in comparison to Fed Ex or UPS...

There is no doubt that, this is another fiasco for Nvidia for not being readied for the hard launch just like its previous 7800gtx 512mb launch. This is evident by my eVGA queue # for a 7900gtx SC has not been moved up at all in the last few days. I just went to NewEgg, it OOS everywhere for 7900gtx cards. Dunno about you but needless to say I'm very much pi$$ed about this ridiculous so-called hard launch Nvidia has projected on its consumers to date.

Well the law of averages needed nVidia to go through a patch of bad PR after whatever happened to ATI in the past 1 - 1 1/2 yrs

Good for you . . .

My 7800GT arrived there this afternoon so I'm hoping they will ship out my 7900GT tomorrow . . .

They have to get your old card first before they send out the new? That bites. I figured they could get your cc number and reserve the charge for a new card and when the old one arrives, charge only the differece.

I suggest you go to EVGA's website and read their Official Step-Up FAQ and Step-Up Forum. It'll answer your questions/concerns.

Just did. I actually bought my system from one of their approved vendors so I don't have any of the original boxes. I thought I saw somewhere where they send me a box to ship it back but I can't find that info anymore. Anyone buy their cards already in their systems?

Problem is that NVDA is not getting bad PR. They just get a free ride...unlike ATI.

I'm sorry, but that person was wrong. eVGA will not cross-ship cards with the Step Up program, period.

if the box is ripped will they charge 15%?

Nope. As long as you ship them everything that was included when you purchased it, you should be fine.

I just got back from OD to ship my card. Almost $25 to ship via 2-Day Air!!!! What a rip-off.:| Oh well. Probably won't see my 7900 until next Friday at the earliest. Should've spent a little more to have them ship it faster. I kinda wish that they would ask for your shipping preference during the confirmation phase.

-red

Actually when I was going through the phase after they say step up ready on their website there was a thing that said "We offer cross shipping on 7800 series cards only", so whoever thought that could be done probably did it, with a 7800.

My 7800gt should be showing up at evga today, then they ship out my new 7900gt co (hopefully)

I was also getting something like 7.5K in 3dmark05. So, what does this 9K in 3dmark05 mean in FEAR? Can I play on my monitor's native resolution now (1680x1050) with some AA/AF?

i have a question to all of you that applied for the step up.

Have you guys sent out your cards being step'd up??

I ask because I have till about April to step up my 7800gt. Yes it is a hassle, but would be a smart move.

The thing is, I dont have a spare card or anything so I would not be able to send in my 7800gt and wait around. I dont mind waiting a week or so, but I need my computer for school and stuff.

So whats the deal? Can I hold on to my 7800gt untill they have shipped out my new card? Or do I have to mail in my 7800gt , wait 2-3 weeks before I get my new card?

You need to send the card, they'll check it for missing items / usability, and then send you a step-up card. If you want to be able to keep using your computer during the step-up process (Which, BTW is turning out to be at most a week long), then just borrow a PCI card from somewhere, test that it works with your computer and live without games for a week.

Or as someone suggested, buy a 6800 (for example) from Circuit City (Cos I hate them), use it for a week, then when your 7900 comes, return the 6800 back.
