don't pay the extra $20 for the CO, the NV Silencer is only $25 on sidewinder and it should bring you close to GTX speeds.

This is the basic one. This is CO. The core clock is 450MHz versus 500MHz. Are you sure that the cooler is the only difference between the two?

BTW Does anyone know if the Zalamn 700cu will fit on this card?

I went from #3 to #6...and I was so happy to be in the top three

I heard some people claim that COs will have better quality of memory to withstand the overclocking. How true that is .. is anybody's guess. As for me, the CO has these four things over the standard:

1. Better cooling (CO)
2. Core clock difference
3. Guarantee that the card can be OCed to 500 MHz (As it comes OCed to that number )
4. A slight premium to pay for a factory cooling + overclock

Anything happen with the people going for the 7600GT, 7900GT, 7900GTX? EVGA has listed the MSRP's on their site.

Nope. Nothing new. Looks like they've only put up pricing for the basic versions and not the CO or CO Superclocked versions. I really don't expect anything new until after the weekend.

But because the basic versions are priced at almost the same numbers as earlier suggested, I would think that there won't be too much of deviation in the CO / superclocked segment too

I would certainly agree (at least I'm truly hoping so ). Like I said, though, we should know more early to middle of next week.

I got in late in the day on the 9th for a 7900GT and I'm currently #47 in the Step-Up Queue.

For those of you looking for something to keep your rigs up and running at least in windows during the downtime.. you should do something like what Im doing.

One of you old timers should pop on over and lend your expertise with old PCI video cards.

If I get desparate enough that I need to use my computer for the week+ that my cards out, I've already got a back-up plan. It's called "generous 30-day return policy"

Dont worry, 202 of these cards is NOT alot. They were designed primarily to be mass produced much better.

Even 202 of the 7800s wouldnt be a tall order. They are going to supply the retail crush first tho.

woot Im, 34.

Not bad

I picked the regular 7900 GT -- which cooler do you folks recommend to get me close to GTX levels? BTW, shouldnt I easily get to "super clock" levels without plunking down any additional dough?
