Tracking evga step-up from 7800 to 7900

Thunder, its not an EVGA reply that I got, if you log onto the website and look at your registered card, it shows you where you are in the queue.

After loggin in, on the left side go to:

Support
Edit/View my Products

You will see a number at the end with que details.

started at number 215 on fri .. now at 210 Tues 04-11-06 for a 7900gtx ...

I think they are at 380 something for the 7900gtx sc

Well, my eVGA 7900GT OC is finally installed along with a Zalman VF900CU HSF.

I am currently running a modest overclock: 550 core & 800 mem (eVGA Superclock speeds). My GPU (idle) temp in a closed case / closed desk environment is 39C. Outside air temperature is around 24C.

Edit: I am using Coolbits 2.0 as my OC utility.

Edit: Yes, the machine is VERY much quieter with the Zalman.

You are pretty much right on. I am #393 for the 7900 gtx sc. But since I have the 7800 gtx ko... i can wait a while for the 7900.

I finally got my 7900GT SC today after UPS failed to deliver it yesterday. Only $15 or so for shipping as I got the 7800GT bundled with the motherboard. Unfortunately, I do not think it will overclock anything at all over stock. I think I will have to pick up a conductive pen and do the volt mod on it...

I was able to bump my SC up to 587/870 w/o any mods.

Does anyone have any good alternatives? i really do wanna get a 7900gt co super, but i have been in it for a week and moved one spot, i may stay one more week, and move on if doesnt work. It sucks because im stuck with a crappy pci card because i got sent the agp card, because new egg messed up, and well now im kinda screwed because they dont have anything...so who knows

I'm packing up my 7800GT to ship tomorrow, and I can't remember if it was in an anti-static bag inside that plastic case in the box. Any help?

Didn't send mine in with one and the step up went through without any problems.

I've been in the queue since 3/16 and I'm stuck at #33 for a regular 7900GT (560).

I havent moved in the queue for 2 weeks.

Whats up with that?

No there was not. Just the card inside the plastic holder inside the box.

The 7900 GT is particularly difficult to get. Took me almost 3 weeks to go through 88. but again that could be because they were fiuring out the problems with a bad batch of cards. Your best bet is to switch to the 7900 GT CO

I think you'll have to either call or email EVGA

Yes, you go to the end of the line for the queue you want to switch to. Also, if your 90 days are already past then you cannot switch queues.

finally got mine yesterday, more than two weeks without my comp was hell. It only boosted my 05 but 1500 but FEAR doesn't stutter so I'm happy. I got the CO cooler for some odd reason, I never payed for it, but my OC still sucked, time to buy that VF700.

Good thing I already decided to scrap my idea of 7900GT SLI for an X1900XTX.

i just sold my card on ebay, and now i can go get my 7900 from new egg and have it quicker and i can still do a step up later on...nice
