my first hot deal post..hope it's not a repost

i traded in 4 old games for ninja gaiden at ebgames.com (i thought someone posted that already in here but i couldn't find the post); deal was originally until 12/1 but got extended until feb. finally got my confirmation from ebgames today, they gave me 4 different individual codes (1 code for $2 off, 2 codes for $20 off, 1 code for $10 off) which it looks like i can use for anything in the store, not just ninja gaiden.

so if you really wanted you could probably get a bunch of old games from friends for like $5 each and use them towards an xbox or something...wouldn't be a bad deal!

Thats pretty cool. Do they pay for postage for you to send them in? Do they inspect the games before issuing credit? Sounds interesting and thanks for the post.

Are these codes stackable then?

Does it matter how old/crappy the games are or if they came with something else?

It seems all you have to do is punch in the games you're tradin' in on the form. There may be a restriction on the games you send in.

yep, the $2 off code is to reimburse you for shipping

codes are stackable (intended to be all stacked together for ninja gaiden), but if you buy something that's only $15 but use the $20 coupon, you lose the $5 extra...

as stated on ebgames: "For this promotion eligible trades include PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube games except for football, baseball, basketball, wrestling and soccer." so old tony hawks, racing games, tiger woods all qualify

i think they only accept 1 of each title at a time tho.

EB does this in stores too. Some games fetch as much as $30 trade in credit.
