Those cameras must be great fun in the winter. Trying to stop suddenly for a changing traffic light, especially if there's a lovely patch of black ice on a hill, can be fairly impossible.
Yeah yeah, "Going too fast for the conditions." That's the same kind of catch-all cop-out that UPS uses for dodging insurance payouts: "Insufficient packaging."
I guess the other option would be an increased police presence; then you do of course run the risk of having some of them acting like such big dicks that they'd get Jpeyton hard.
So which do you deal with: Police who have some degree of subjectivity in deciding who to go after, or a traffic camera that'll even catch you if you're only 0.1 inches inside the intersection, and the risk of having asshole city officials shorten the yellow-light delay?
I suppose the solution to the latter would be an pleasantly violent little riot, and instill some good old "fear'o'god" back into the minds of those who abuse their power.
