Doesn't everyone know this? They taught it in driver's education here... I think it was even on the permit or license test. California driver suck though, so I'm not too surprised.

Apparently not. There was a thread a while back where someone was bitching up a storm because he got a ticket for failure to yield at an uncontrolled intersection, and he didn't understand how he could be expected to yield when there's no sign. I guess some people use use the "close your eyes and pray" method at uncontrolled intersections.

So you have never driven before, correct? They are all over the place; in every state, including PA. You just don't recognize them as you go though them if you are not a driver. If you are a driver, I weep for other drivers in PA.Originally posted by: 2Xtreme21
I've never seen a 4 way intersection without at least 2 stop signs. That is a potentially scary situation right there...

Treat an uncontrolled intersection as if it has 4 yield signs.

I just thought I should pint this out: no one has the right of way. Ever. The lay states the driver must YIELD the right of way to another. There really is a difference.

I honestly can't think of a time that I have seen a 4 way with no stop signs either the same thing too and I am from Pittsburgh also (we both go to University of Pittsburgh)...
