I don't do ecstasy. I've read, several times, on drugs.com and other sites that the seratonin release that Tramadol causes is a very similar effect of what E does. The intensity of the effect is only a fraction of what a single dose of E will do.

the nerve problem that is causing you pain, duh. if chiropractic care can get rid of the pain, why take the pills? but, then again, you could just be a pill-popping drug addict who'd rather just have the pain as an excuse to get more pills. it's your prerogative.

Read this in wiki

"Tramadol is sometimes mistakenly classified as an opiate, because of its agonist activity at the µ-opioid receptor, however, chemically it is not related to opiates."

They sound better than vics, i'll have to find some.

All the chiropractic work in the world wont do anything for an avulsed brachial plexus.

That's what all pill-popping drug addicts say

I never had any of those problems with Tramadol, I just can't sleep if it's in my system. I can take a half a pill at 8am and not be able to sleep at 10pm. Fortunately I haven't had to take painkillers in a couple of years.

you're right. staying in pain in order to pop pills is pathetic. i have family members that do that and one of them almost died. i, however, am not pathetic. what's pathetic is saying i have a "chiropractic agenda" instead of understanding that i'm advising someone to get proper treatment for their condition.

if there was someone who needed a haircut, would you send them to a chemist or would you send them to a barber? that's the difference between going to a medical doctor for a nerve compression issue and getting drugs and seeing a chiropractor and getting removing the compression.

seriously, if this wasn't an issue chiropractors didn't successfully treat on a daily basis i wouldn't have mentioned it.

edit: by the way, i said the drug addict pill-popping thing because he sounds like every other pill-popping drug addict i know. if he isn't, i apologize for making an assumption, but based on his posts, it sure sounds like it.

Which post make me sound like "every other pill-popping drug addict? The OP where I warm of the dangers that I was not made aware of?
Do you know anything about neuropathic pain? Specifically from an avulsion of the ENTIRE brachial plexus?

It has been 3 years since my accident. I've done PT at least once a week since the accident. I'd tried acupuncture, e-stim, chiropractic, etc. The pills have been the only thing to effectively rude/eliminate the pain. If I were a junkie, I'd use FAR more the 5/325 percocets 1-2x a day that I use now... after 3 years of taking it.

If you're going to offer advice, remove the condescension from that advice. There was no need to add the pill-popping jab.

i treat neuropathic pain all the time. have you had an ncv done on your arm? have you tried diathermy? have you tried a cat 4 laser?

by the way, you might want to go back and re-read the posts you made on page 1... then tell me how you make yourself sound.

The only thing chiropractic has ever done for me is lighten my wallet.

I'm on the drug right now for hip pain. I only really take it when I need it, so I haven't experienced these side effects you speak of.

A lot of back pain is caused by men with wallets that are too big, so it's just part of the treatment.

i thought Tramadol was an opioid mimick - it binds with the same neuro-receptors as
(for example) Oxycontin.

LOL, nice necro, free ipod?

It's funny, I was going to make a thread about having withdrawal symptoms from tramadol. I was also taking it for pain relief recently, got up to 200mg per dose, 5 times a day, and am having some nasty withdrawals now that I'm off of it. I think I'm going to try weening myself with what I have left in the script. This stuff is nasty.

I had some minor surgery so I took some Tylenol for a day. Seemed to dull the pain but didn't notice anything other than that. Maybe it takes more than two pills to get a reaction.
