Who really still likes Transformers, honestly?! They all had such lame names too...
j/k
OK, here's my "Levels of Transformer geekdom":
Level | Symptom
1 You remember what "Transformers" are.
2 You remember the show and you used to have some toys somewhere...
3 You still have the toys in the attic / basement and remember the show's theme song
4 You still have the toys in your room, have some shows on tape, and sing the theme song to annoy others
5 You still play with the toys, watch Beast Wars and complain that it "just isn't the same"
5 You buy the Beast Wars toys, watch the show, complain about it, and remember the movie
6 You buy anything that transforms, rewatched the movie recently, and tape Beast Machines
7 You have every episode of Beast Wars / Beast Machines on tape, you have worn out your Beast Wars
episode with the original Optimus Prime in it, are waiting to buy the DVD of the movie, and actively
search auction sites for old toys
8 You hate all the new Beast series for "not being the real thing", still become angry that the
Generation 2 show and figures failed, own a large number of old figures, tapes of the original series,
the movie is pre-ordered on DVD, and you have Transformers Wallpaper on your PC.
10 You have old Transformers lining your shelves, including a Jetfire complete in box, and often you create
giant battles with them. You remember every episode of the series, and often get into flame wars with
Beast Wars fans on the 'net. You search import stores for new Takara import transformers from Japan. You used
to make "er-ee-ah" noises and pretend to transform by curling up in a ball on the living room floor and
pretending to now be a car. You know the movie dialouge by heart. You choose screen names on online
forums based on favorite characters. Your wife does not understand you, and your children think you are nuts.
