That should be the end of it. Let him compete with the boys. My guess as to why this subject is so complicated is that what if you had a male transitioning to a female. Even if they took hormones the person will still have an upper body strength advantage so I suppose it you do it one way you have to go the other.
Yeah, trans men/boys should definitely compete in the male bracket, and it's not a huge deal if not getting male hormones all their life sets them back, not everyone gets to be the top in their class and it's a fair way to compete. Trans women might be more contentious, and for sporting competitions in particular it's fine for it to be negotiable in the interests of fairness for all participants. If that means the men's division turning into an "unlimited" one, that might be what it takes, who knows. It'd probably be good in general for "men's" sports to just be whoever can compete at the top level.
Problem here is that Texas is trying to delegitimize the whole thing and say that he's still female, which just flat out isn't the case.
Or maybe mentally ill people shouldn't be allowed to participate in sports? Just a thought.
Piss off. Plenty of people compete just fine despite not being neurotypical. Hell, I've got depression and it was no big deal. If there's no overriding reason why they aren't flat out incompatible with the sports being played or the divisions available there's no reason whatsoever to let your ill-founded whim dictate their lives.
