I'm in favor of equality for TG, but I can understand the problem here. I think a solution is to allow her to compete but with a handicap. If males at that level of competition average, say, 1.8 seconds faster time in the hundred yard dash compared to females, just add that as a handicap to her time.

It's obviously unfair to women, there's no way they can compete with a male in terms of physical performance. It is impossible for a trans athlete to become a woman and leave all the physical advantages, increased strength and speed of being born a man behind. That makes it unfair to let them compete in sports as a woman. Is that "fair" to the trans athlete? Maybe not, but you can't make all born female athletes suffer just to allow the trans athlete to compete.

And before anyone compares the two, this isn't like allowing transgenders to use the bathroom of their preference, which I support.

Well this already happened in the Olympics and was ridiculous there as well. Local sports is one thing but allowing the advantages of the male physique in female professional sports is anti-competitive. The problem is equal rights groups have been allowed to become so vocal and the internet and social media has allowed these unthinking followers to cause such harm for institutions and companies that they just don't dare use logic.

If they continue down this path, no woman will ever place in anything that depends on strength or speed. Men will win all women's track events, lifting events, etc. Men are just the fastest and strongest. There is no denying that. There are plenty of things women are better than men at, those are not them.

I am afraid I must go with the Olympic Rules in sex segregated physical competitions, go by birth gender.

No doubt it's all part of a life-long scheme: First there's all the wins from competing in sports events for women, then to reel in lots of poor unwitting men with false-rape allegations, then some hefty divorce settlements as well as pay-related workplace discrimination lawsuits. It is easily solvable : The transgender should only be able to compete in women competition after complete surgical change (no male parts and testes) and be on female hormones for enough time (for example 3 years) to completely flush out any male strength advantage. Of course, there might still be some muscles size advantage, but that will decrease over time.

Female athletics are not money generators at the college level like male athletics. In fact the overwhelmingly majority are money losers. On the men's side, the profiteering on elite male athletes is almost criminal. How is that a university can make millions on athletes while compensating the majority of them with degrees that are nearly worthless?

If you are going to worry about something, worry about how the NCAA is monetizing the labor of their athletes without just compensation.
