So, I've been craving some playtime with this game. I have not played it in over a decade. My original disappeared long ago (probably before I bought my first house). I Googled it and one site (Best Old Games) has it for download and directs folks to get DOSbox for emulation.

I'm a bit wary as I do not know if this site is legit, or if one can trust DOSbox. Anyone have any experience in these things?

I know there is the OpenTTD, etc., but I wanted to play the original game--even the unpatched original TT (not interested in TTD).

I've played a lots of old games with DOSbox and frontend D-Fend downloaded from its official website dosbox.com ... dunno about the site you found though.

Yes, DOSBox is legit (I used it last year to play Pizza Tycoon and Fast Food Tycoon 2 - great games), but I'd be careful about what sites you trust to download old games from. Often times the games are just uploaded by anyone who has the desire to do so, and there is little to no verification of the integrity of the game or that the uploader didnt include any malware.

Harrod, you didn't read my entire post. I was well aware of OpenTTD, but I am not looking for online play, nor the deluxe.

Why on earth would I want to play a DOS game over the Internet? I drink coffee, not grow, harvest and factory process it beforehand.

What is that website that sells digital games that run on DOSBox? I think GameFly bought them out. Could of sworn they sold it.
