Exactly. And its the worthless clickbait media and left/right wing extremists that everything worse by inflaming passions when what we need are cool, calm heads.
No. It was the defendants' lawyers' blantant racism that inflamed passions here. It was the initial lack of prosecution that inflamed passions. And it was the notion spread by many that it should be ok to hunt down and murder another human being, due to unreasonable suspicion generated by that human being's skin color, that inflamed passions.
Cool, calm heads would have let this murder go unpunished.

A getaway driver is part of the bank robbery, as an essential part.

The guy filming it is not essential to the murder. His existence had no material impact on their success. Unless it was his idea, and or provided the guns or something.

I don't know his role in contributing. Other than being part of their posse.
He was found guilty of the false imprisonment of Arbery, which is a felony. The murder came during the commission of that felony, therefore felony murder.

Found some articles in the meantime.
I assume actual evidence of William Bryan's involvement was presented at trial?
Was not just Gregory McMichael 's word was it?

Here are the key players in the Ahmaud Arbery death trial

William "Roddie" Bryan is the man who filmed Arbery's last moments. His attorney, Kevin Gough, has said a polygraph confirmed Bryan was not involved in the incident.
Gough told CNN that Bryan was working in his yard when he saw a person he did not know being chased by a vehicle he recognized from the neighborhood.
Bryan began filming the incident, at one point getting in his vehicle and following Arbery, who was being chased.
Once the video was released, Gough said his client and his family were targeted by protesters. Gough said Bryan and his fiancée had to go into hiding.
However, Gregory McMichael told police Bryan tried to help the McMichaels stop Arbery earlier, according to an incident report.

Man who recorded the fatal shooting of Ahmaud Arbery has been arrested, GBI says

Bryan, who recorded the shooting, and his attorney have maintained that he is innocent of any wrongdoing. On Monday evening, Gough, Bryan's attorney, said his client had no prior contact or plan with the McMichaels prior to the shooting.
"The initial police report described his role in it," Merritt said. "The idea that he was just a witness, recording the video -- that's a recent invention. His role in this ambush was well documented in the original police report and is demonstrated by video."
"It's based on that video and probable cause why he is in custody," Crump told Lemon.

As your article mentions, he was involved in the felony false imprisonment, therefore he's on the hook for felony murder.

But the son is a coward. He should have pleaded guilty and took a plea deal to protect his father from a life sentence. Let him have a 5 year sentence but does he deserve to die in jail because his son pulled the trigger?

Same way a getaway driver gets charged murder if someone inside the bank is killed.

Also I see people mentioning this and it's super important and - the original prosecutor in this case was going to let them get away with it and tried to cover it up.
and I beleive she is facing charges herself because if that.

If there isn't already, there needs to be a full-blown investigation into this for possible civil rights violation. Also, further scrutiny is warranted for the courtroom behavior of the defendants' lawyers. That was beyond the pale.

Predicted this and the Rittenhouse verdict. Actually, wasn't certain about that third defendant, but the case against the McMichaels was open and shut. Wasn't that concerned about jury bias here. Most of those jurors were probably conservative but in my experience political bias is not that large a factor for jurors.

The jury definitely got this one right.

Malice murder wasn't supported at all.

What are you talking about?
Are you citing the charges as evidence?

Even as recently as Nov 17th, all CNN could say about Bryan was "Bryan had joined the pursuit and recorded the shooting on his cellphone." If evidence of involvement was presented at trial, that CNN article sure had a funny way of ignoring it. I am still looking for any evidence.

No, I'm citing his conviction on that charge by the jury.

Are you saying he was indicted, tried, and convicted based on no evidence? Seriously? That seems pretty nuts to me. Also, Bryan testified as to his repeated attempts to corner Arbery with his truck and that he participated in running Arbery off the road so he could be confronted. This isn't complicated.

Well good thing the defense released the video they recorded.

And Rittenhouse?

Same thing there too. Everyone was up in arms because the media wanted everyone up in arms to make money. The left/right extremists were on that one too.

I wonder what crazy thing the clickbait media will come up with next to get people all riled up next.
