The VP only gets to vote to break ties
The VP being republican plays NO role in deciding committee make up
if the republicans only have 50 , they won't get more than the democrats on the committees, this is a very important part in deciding what bills get voted on and many other parts of how the senate works. the committees will be half republicans and half democrats, the VP doesn't get to vote to break ties in committee
dropping from 51 to 50 will be a BIG loss to the republicans
