I agree, the plasma is still a bit OP. It rips apart heavies too quickly and it is damn hard for them to miss with the giant size of the heavies and the box for the plasma. I think 5 shots can kill a jugg straight out.
Plasma does 500 damage a pop, and fully leveled Juggs and Brutes have 2600 damage, so it will take six shots. Although Doombringers are still 2500 and thus 5 will do them in.
Its an OK weapon, just on the wrong class. It would have been fine on say the Brute, who is in desperate need of weapons/equipment/whatever to make them viable again.
Raiders are just too mobile and durable to be given a weapon as efficiently powerful as the Plasma
i tried it and really did not like tribes,
i really tried to like it but i think i am more of a COD fanboy, i dont know tribes was kind of boring to me.
At least you can admit it.
I've been playing for a few days now and am in love with it. The pathfinder is definitely my class of choice so far. I'll probably be buying a gold pack within the coming weeks, both for unlocks and to support the developers for making a quality game.
Well it was fun while it lasted. The aimbotting is just terrible now i get maybe 1 game out of 10 that is cheat free. Pretty much the only way to play against cheaters is defend gen room with mortars. lol
I haven't seen anything like that amount of cheating. I'm not sure I've seen any cheating, actually. I get killed maybe once per game in a situation where I think "damn, that was too good a shot," but the chance of those being actual cheaters is pretty low, I think.

I'm with you here. I really find it pretty rare that I get hit with really difficult shots. Sometimes I dish them out too, but honestly, I'm often surprised when I make those shots. If I have the ammo, and the reload isn't going to cause me to miss them landing or some such, I'll take the shot, just in case. Sometimes it works. Usually it doesn't.
If you like the game, please support the developers. You got a free game! You also get VIP status if you spend any money. It gives you 1.5x XP I believe for life.I don't know whether to spend any money. That spinfuser is a long ways away at 42000 xp.

It's disheartening to know though, that opening up the full game would probably take quite a bit more than 60$. The game is great fun, but it feels more like a 35$ game total, and yet somehow via the F2P they can effectively charge $100's edit 180$ for it. http://www.reddit.com/r/Tribes/comments/pnspu/tables_upgrade_gpxp_cost_analysis/ I don't understand it. I'm more a one time payment or no payment at all. The nickels and dimes.....eh.
I don't know if 10$ could even outfit one class.
I would gladly support the dev's if they just came out and sold it for 40$ or less and then supported it. But this 10$ for X points and micro-transaction stuff.....I don't like it. I don't much support the nickel and dime approach. In my mind its just a ploy to scam more money out of a person in the long haul through illusion. I feel a developer needs to develop a product and then sell it outright. Then stand behind it and support it. Fantastic game, but I cannot support their business practice. I don't believe in it.

I was going to retract my statement, I don't want to flame, but its okay. Its pretty mild. I think I'm going to go read the reddit thread. I'm still iffy on the whole F2P thing, but maybe I'm just thinking about it wrong. Its probably control issues. I like to spend money and then own something, well kinda anyway barring DRM etc. This seems least like that. Isn't a 100k XP gun a 10$ gun. Isn't that kinda outlandish? But then again, I paid 60$ for BF3 and I was *still* locked out of everything......and still am 6 months later. :| What's better, I don't know.
