Anandtech friends. A sadness has come upon me. My brother, whom you call Soccerman, has passed away on this day.
He has been in and out of the hospital for a long time now. He also celebrated his 19th birthday there.
After being admitted for the last time 1 1/2 weeks ago, his condition did not improve anymore. Yesterday, the news came in that he would survive to the end of the week at most. My sister flew in from Alberta, and two of my Aunts are flying in today, one from Seattle. This morning, we had come in early to say goodbye after his condition took a large turn for the worse.
At 8:27 AM Central Daylight Savings time, Soccerman breathed his last.
These are the beginnings of the philosophical/political/science/general debate site he was building.
I hope that will settle anyone wondering what has happened to his posts.
His body is going to be used for research, and whatever other uses they need. His condition was an autoimmune syndrome. Meaning that his immune system wouldn't always function properly. And in the last couple of years, failed altogether. He will always be remembered in our hearts.
I will be returning occasionally to answer any questions. After which you will probably not see me here again.
