It's always hard, but as you said, he had been in and out of the hospital and maybe it's just best things turned out the way they did...

(Soccerman) was cool. I remember when anyone would ask for a recommendation on a monitor, he would be there to give his honest viewpoint as to what would suit the needs of whomever asked the question.

However, I also remember, on occasion, he would get fl@med for what views he would give out (ie. AG is much better than SM and stuff).

It never phased him.

There was one instance where a couple of these fl@mers/thread cr@ppers actually got to him. I lent a word or two of encouragement. He did not know me, but I read enough of his posts to know that he definitely knew what he was talking about.

(Soccerman's) reply was, "...I thought I was alone here; it's nice to know that my presence here is appreciated..."
