Tried Second Life, lots of weirdness.

First time trying out this program. Very weird you have to see it with your own eyes. I found abandoned cities with dead virtual pets, weird places with people dressed like furry animals, I warped somehow to a place with lots of men doing strange stuff, also seems like a lot of women wearing not much.

Weird vibe, its the strangest thing you will ever mess with on the computer.

Do they still make money with SL it just seems like lots of abandoned places.

I never played this, but I do remember a former coworker overly excited about it around 2004 or so. Sounds like a lot of the players left it for other things. I wonder what happens to virtual assets of abandon players (e.g. cars, real estate, etc.). For instance, can you cyber-squat?

Haha, I had forgotten about that game. Yeah I think it was more popular back in the day but I never played it. Not surprised there's a lot of... "strange" people playing it, though, lol.

I think at some point we'll see something like that for VR, when VR gets really good and is mainstream, and it'll be popular as shit.

Yeah, I think that most people left Second Life a long time, ago and only the hard core players and weirdos are left.

Same deal with World Of Warcraft, I'd imagine.
