Trine PC - pretty cool

I've never heard of this game before today, when I fired up steam. There is a demo available, game released next month. It's a very cool side scroll adventure game that requires you to utilize three different characters, each with their own strength that helps you get past a particular part of the stage.

Very entertaining so far and the stages look very nice too (on top of being very creative).

I would recommend playing the demo if you like side scroll adventures.

Been playing this for a bit, and it is a very good game. Nice take on side scrolling, with a hint of RPG. Different classes for different tasks. Good story, music, narration, and graphics.

What I didnt like, was not being able to change the controls in the game. I had to edit the config, even then I couldnt do all I wanted to do. I want to jump with the mouse button, not the kb. I wont like wasd, I use esdf. Let me config how I want, and I will buy this game. Might anyways, very fun.

Has anyone played Shadowgrounds? It's the game that you get free if you pre-order Trine now.

yeah i played the demo of this the other day and actually like it a whole lot. nice looking graphics for a side scroller.

played the demo today. it is pretty cool, but pretty frustrating too, especially with mouse and keyboard.

I have shadowgrounds survivor and is actually pretty fun..especially for a free or $4.99 game (what I paid for it last year).

true, but even with a mouse it seems a bit difficult. there's way more to the game that would seem to work better with a controller though.

Actually, I was really surprised how well it played with the KB+mouse.

I played it with both. KB + Mouse seemed a little easier but the controller was fine too after a few minutes of getting used to.

Just got done playing this. Hoping there is a sale on it soon, I don't plan on paying $29.99 for it.

From what I played, it looks to be very fun and challenging in later levels. Can't wait to see what the full game brings.

I would have to agree with Cabages: It was fun, but I wouldn't pay $29.99. Maybe 10 or 15 tops.

I played the demo for about 15 minutes and decided it wasn't my cup o' tea

Alright, gamefaqs does not yet have a walkthrough.

How do I get past the giant 4 post cross that spins? The only way forward is up. I can spin the thing around all I want, but I cant get on top of anything long enough to over it.

Get it spinning, jump on one of the spokes, and then use the wizard to keep it spinning 'til you're at the top.

Beat this game this weekend, lots of fun. I think they needed some more advanced levels though, especially given the number of items your wizard can create by the end of the game.
