This game is ripe for expansion packs. I suspect perhaps even a whole series.

Played the demo, not bad... The spinner was the most time consuming puzzle to get it just right, but the concept came pretty quick... Controls weren't bad with kb+m... Not sure if I'd want a full game though, the demo was like "Cool concept, short fun, but I'm over it already..." I'll come back to it later and see if it has grown on me...

Alright, gamefaqs does not yet have a walkthrough.

How do I get past the giant 4 post cross that spins? The only way forward is up. I can spin the thing around all I want, but I cant get on top of anything long enough to over it.

Get it spinning, jump on one of the spokes, and then use the wizard to keep it spinning 'til you're at the top.

I just got it spinning with the archer grapple (keep grappeling and weighing down the top spokes as they come around). Then I jumped on and made a box with the wizard opposite of me and it got me high enough to get up.

The demo only scratches the surface of what's in the full game. More RPG selections and loot drops [which are interchangeable] for your 3 toons, more enemies [including bosses at various areas], and more difficult puzzles.

Good game. Really Good. Indy Developer's are starting to rise. Zeno Clash and This.

This game is very satisfying. 29.99 isn't a great price. Pretty fair I suppose. I'm a cheap ass so I'd put this at a 19.99 price point and I'd be satisfied. I said the same thing about Left 4 Dead.

Yep. As with other pc games of recent - you become uber powerful just near the end of the game. Trine ended rather too abruptly IMHO - $29.99 is a bit too much considering there is no level editor...

i just arrived at the lava level and promptly deleted this from my computer.

what a piece of shit. attn developers- bullshitting someone until they get pissed off enough to remove your game is not how you make good games.

jesus, every time i got a little bit better at it, the game would do something completely asinine- drop five giant spike balls on me at once, leave me with the lava close and the platforms not timed in a way that i could climb them, conjure shit in the middle of the air i'm jumping through, ect. fuck you, game, you worthless piece of shit.

that game was very easy... very fun too.

Sometimes the jumping on circling platforms was hard. But you could do it.

Don't get mad at the developers just because you suck at the game.

breezing through the entire game and then being increasingly fucked every time you retry is shitty. period. artificial difficulty increases were annoying on the NES, now they're just stupid.

thanks for your input, though. ;P

how long is the actual game? The price is 22.50 now and I'm contemplating buying it or I might wait til the price drops later.

How is the difficulty increase artificial? This is a puzzle game. The puzzles are meant to get more and more complicated as you progress.

Glad to see some feedback on this game. I saw it last night when I fired up steam and it immediately caught my attention. I DL'd the demo last night and can't wait to try it out now.

The last "puzzle" game I played was Portal and it was immensley satisfying.

Hello.

I was going to buy Trine for my 7 year old son. Do you think it is easy enough for him to play?

I would set it to the easiest level and maybe help him finish the last couple boards.

Even if it's not, it's a great exercise in lateral thinking and there are usually multiple ways to get past the puzzles. The last level was really frustrating, but it didn't take that long to get down.

Which? The one where you have to escape the rising lava?

I found the game really easy.. It could have been WAY easier if I actually realized that none of that finding XP potions/etc is really worth it. I would have just skipped all that shit and rushed through the game to the end. It's really easy...

Yeah, the lava part. The controls aren't tight enough for these timed platforming sections. Thankfully there's only one. The framerate was horrible on that level too. I had to turn everything down to low and it still seemed sluggish.

I found it easy too. The challenge is really more as a platformer than a puzzle game. By the end of the game my wizard had 5 boxes, 4 planks, and the mid-air triangle, and with all that, there isn't an obstacle in the game you can't overcome by building a tower or bridge.
