My poiny exactly. And even if it did, that's just 1 post. Dothan/Porkster's postcount is 99% trolling, and that's a lot.

My opinion on trolling:

Trolling is a bit like pking, or backstabbing in a game (killing your ally for fun). Not very nice but not too much you can do about it, if somone wants to troll then let them unless they are swearing excessively/resort to personal insult/being racist or w/e you get ma drift. If theyre running about yellin "WE LUV INTEL YEHOOO!" then jus let emm noones forcing you to read their majoritively garbage threads/posts.

If you go ahead and reply starting a serious fact based arguement then theyre gonna retaliate with more trash annoy you more and effectively win.

Besides, whats wrong with liking some company for no rational reason? Nothings wrong/right with that. Its like football, why do you support your team? Typically because somone told you to (friend,parent,w/e), is that a good reason? hell no but you do it anyways! I know i do.

Its somthing that aint never gonna go away.

Then there is the case when a legit thread is i progress and they come in and crap all over it...We cannot have this turn the other cheek attitude....That is the problem with most society now anyways...

Maybe we should have a formal stickied sign-up thread where people pledge to completely ignore the existing trolls, and nominate new trolls for the silent treatment as required Might take some wind out of the trolls' sails if they post and post, and get completely ignored by everyone except rank newbies who haven't seen the sticky yet.

Newbies falling for the bait, we can just link them to the I'm Ignoring The Trolls thread rather than trying to counter the troll FUD itself.

How about we have a new catchphrase or symbol that denotes a troll reply such as .. well a troll face or a standard comment such as, "Troll reply, ignored."

This way newbies, or those who don't know better, can see that the posts by the trolls are considered troll replies and to please ignore them.

This also avoids responding to the troller and his/her erroneous, avaricious, false, duplicitous, falacious, ego driven attempts to creative cognitive dissonance and emotional responses in otherwise rational indviduals.

You know, I wish they made another Ultima game (Britannia from your SIG) that was similar in scope to the Baldur's Gate II game. That was a fun open massive game with an insane talking sword! God, I loved it. I still remember Ultima V or VI (lost count after awhile, LOL) with the open cartoon scenes. It was incredible graphics! LOL

Balders gate was fun played it for a while with a m8, but i was always more into diablo II more. The complete stupitidy of people and their willingness to give me their account password made it really interesting quickly no more begging for me!! haha!

Dothan, Porkster, and obviously Fatty4Ksu are still here and thats why we're complaining, also notice the mods havn't locked this one yet so maybe they agree with us on this.

No it's not. It takes effort to turn the other cheek... most people are just too lazy to do even that. And that, I believe, is the real problem!

There has been concern about the amount of trolls invading these forums and confusing the newbs, this post is intended to outline the anti-troll policy. This thread will not list the known trolls (unless I get permission from the moderator) because a blacklist of any sort is sure to get this post locked.

First one must establish what a troll is, a troll is someone whose posts are intended to provoke argument, whether the information is factual or not. For example is someone posts ?AMD is greatest company, everything AMD does is far superior to anything done by Intel.? This statement is untrue, will provoke a flamewar and contributes nothing to any discussion.

These trolls thrive on attention, so ignoring them will (hopefully) mostly rid us of this problem. The problem with ignoring trolls is that newbs might take what they say as truth, so this policy is designed to solve both problems.

When you see a troll post, simply post this comment ?Please Don?t Feed the Troll? and link to this thread. Do not respond to the substance of the post because that will only give the troll validation in their comments and lead them to continue trolling. If a troll continues to post trolling comments continue to post this message, however if the troll posts something without trolling leave the post be.

Actually I was going to put my post all on its own in general harware because thats the most widely read forum, before do I want some people to help me improve it just to make sure it won't be locked by the mods.

I read video, I post there quite often too, the point is to put this where everyone can see it so it can catch on.
