Ok, I work part time at a fitness center that runs a member card scan-in software that utilizes two monitors. One is for the employee, and then facing outward on the desk is a monitor that shows an advertisement as well as member attendance info when someone scans a card.
The short of it is this -
It used to run on an old Dell pc with a video card that had dual monitor outs on it. We replaced that computer with a faster Dell with the same OS (XP) and used the same monitors, but we had to use a vga to usb adapter for the extended display (no 2nd display port). Now XP doesn't remember the settings after restarting the member software. Before it used to automatically open the ad window in the extended display. Now, it opens it on the primary where we have to drag it across to the other monitor, and even then it's no longer full screen as there is still the window bars around it.
For what it's worth the software is iGo which has no settings choices that pertain to this.
Is this because of the USB adapter? Or anyone have any suggestions of what to try?
