This morning when I turned on my system it booted fine, yet when I got into Windows my modem wasn't working suddenly. I checked phone line connections, modem properties (diagnotics), and ended up with a "Can't open port" or something as such. I removed my modem drivers, reinstalled (manually as it wouldn't detect it) then rebooted. Here's where the problem with the floppy drive started. I got a "Floppy Drive Fail (40)" and had to go into the BIOS and disable floppy seek on boot, got back into Windows after doing so and my floppy still works in Windows. My problem is that it won't read a boot disk.
Thanks,
Justin
By the way - Got my modem working again by switching PCI slots.
