I've been having a rather interesting issue. While playing various games, such as Bioshock Infinite, NFS:MW, etc, I've been encountering sudden freezes, perhaps every 20-30 seconds. The fps actually drops down to zero and the game is essentially frozen for that time. Interestingly enough, the rest of my system is not inhibited during this time. From the various windows I have up, I can see that neither my CPU or GPU have any reason to be throttling, nor are they overtly bottle-necking the performance of the game. I feel as if the sudden freezes are due to latency in reading game data from the hard drive, but I do not know of any ways of testing or evaluating this possibility. Note that I am not currently running an SSD in my system, despite what it says in my signature.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
