Trouble with MVP 2003 Baseball

Problem: All of the introductory parts of the game run just fine. The video clips of the players, the game setup etc. But when I try to actually play the game, the program shuts down. No error message, no indication that something is wrong. I'm running a 1.2ghz processor with a 64mb 3d card. Any ideas?

what resolution do you have it set at, and do you have an lcd screen?

It came down to a video driver update from Windows.
