I don't get why Europe and particularly France appears so bad at assimilating people. People complain in the US that we're too tolerant but look at second generation kids from immigrants they're American. Many patents complain their kid is too American.

Guns are a problem when a psyco wants to go on a rampage fueled by chemical imbalance in his/her brain. In that case controlling or removing a gun can go a long way in saving innocent lives.
When it comes to ideological and social issues that makes someone fight or revolt against another group people, then gun control is irrelevant, there is always someone standing behind these "soldiers" who will arm them one way or another.

Because there are opportunities for everyone, job for whoever want to do it. In a socialistic society its not so. Govt provides and control jobs, and there is not enough for everyone. Jesus people. It's not guns, trucks, or any other possible method of killing fellow human beings that is the problem here. Fucked up people are the problem.

Guess what? The larger the human population becomes, the more we breed people with fucked up beliefs. It's just part and parcel of life; an unfortunate part, but one we have to deal with nevertheless.

So stop trying to make this political or about talking points of any one side. As the population increases it's only going to get worse and, ultimately, there isn't shit we can do about it short of eugenics and mental screening, which is another can of worms.
