A knife is designed for cutting things, sometimes as a letter opener, sometimes to cut strings or a pesky vine in your yard, sometimes to spread butter or cut a yummy steak. Swords are made to kill people, switch blades are meant to be carried in your pocket and opened quickly to stab someone. Notice the latter two have no real purpose but to cut people. I'm not an expert in Greek weapon laws but I know in the US, even in most open carry states you can't walk around with swords or switch blades.

We'd call that a pocket knife in the US, its the same but different. You'd need two hands to open the blade with a pocket knife. Switch blades only need one hand to open.
