He's like the idiots flying MAGA flags from their $50k boats all summer long crying about how they can't afford eggs and milk.
Truck payment $1600/month
8 gallons milk/week $24
600 eggs/month $200
Private burrito taxis $30/day

Someone who's good with the economy please help, my family is dying.

Nutty Squirrel is pro business but A-OK with Harper screwing over Canadian Soft Lumber industry by dropping the Softwood Lumber dispute with USA AFTER WTO sided with Canada's position. He betrayed Canadians!

Canadian National Debt is growing at around C$2.70 per person per day.

I like how RS claims to be doing poorly economically, yet (as seen in OT) he keeps making random, unnecessary purchases to further his expensive off the grid fantasy. Sounds like the economy isn't so bad and perhaps it's just psychosomatic.

It's all on credit. The whole reason I want to move off grid is because it's no longer economically feasible to stay in the city if I want to actually have a decent standard of living such as owning a home. The costs of living are too high and if I want to retire, I need to reduce my costs of living. The property taxes on the off grid land are MUCH lower, and there will not be any utility bills.

I also make very good money, when I speak about the economy doing poorly I'm speaking for everyone who makes much less money than me. I cleared a bit over 90k this year. I am doing half decent, but I should be doing better given how much money I make.

It's actually $29,775.84, which is insane. We pay all these taxes, yet they STILL go in debt.

I am about 1.2 billion seconds old. That puts into perspective how big a billion is. The debt grows by that much dollar wise, in only 11 days. Where the hell is all this money going? About 40% of our income ends up in government coffers yet they still manage to go in insane debt. Trudeau's debt record is higher than every PM combined.

This is insane. Anyone who votes for more of this is completely retarded.

It’s on credit? You will never get off the grid if you enslave your future self to debt. You can’t quit your job to live in the woods if you owe people money. Also, you have a house already.

When I eventually move off grid, I can either rent out the house or sell it. That will pay off all debt. I can also vote for a government that cares about monetary policy, which in turn will help me. And that's what I plan to do. If costs of living go down, I will have more disposable income to put towards paying off debt.

I spend way less on the off grid property than if I bought a new car. It's not any worse than having a car loan.

68% of Canadian National Debt is owned by Canadians. Individuals and institutions like banks, pension funds and insurance companies. Think of it as bonds. It is in essence a confidence vote on the Country. So the per capita amount is moot. Rest is foreign investors, they also don't think Canada is going to default.

I said it was GROWING at around C$2.70 a day per capita, not that per capita debt is C$2.70.

Complains about the government going into debt

Yet

WTF?!
Taking on debt is okay when you're building a server farm in your basement, not okay when you're covering health costs for millions of people in the middle of a pandemic.

I don't make billions of dollars from extracting money from every citizen in Canada. With all the money they get there's zero excuse for debt. As an individual on fixed income with costs of everything rising including taxes, it's pretty hard not to go into debt when there's hardly any money left over at the end of the month. Some of the money that could be used to pay off the debt is tied up in investments that are growing, so I'm waiting until I can just pay it off completely. When I sell the house I will also be able to pay it all down, if the investments don't pan out.

I am not the only one in debt or living pay to pay, due to the hard times this government has created.

The reason you're in debt is because you're living beyond your means. Sounds like you need to take some personal responsibility and cut back on your spending.

I have a fairly basic life. I don't travel, or buy high end cars, or even new cars. The problem is that the cost of living eats up about 95% of the money I make. Taxes being about 40% of that. I was better off 10 years ago living the same way as costs of living were not as high. I have not changed my living standard.

I have done some things to try to reduce costs of living such as getting a wood stove but there's only so much that can be done.

Has the share of taxes changed over that 10 year period?
