True 133FSB Thunderbird Availability?

Anyone know when these will be available so the KT133A will actually be usable without soldering your CPU?

I didnt know you have to solder your CPU to use KT133A.

Well, in order for the FSB to run at 133, the normal 100 Thunderbird has to be overclocked, so you have to pull the multiplier back then increase the FSB so they balance out.

...and where does the soldering come in? Unlocking a T-Bird or Duron requires nothing more than a pencil, and a good motherboard.

Plus, many Durons and Tbirds have been proven good FSB overclockers, they dont even need to lower the multiplier, they just take the 133MHz with ease.

Didn't realize that you could do it with just a pencil, my misinformation, sorry.

But even still I'd like a true 133 Thunderbird. I suppose you could buy a 900 or something and get to around 1200, but still...

The question is, when will it be available.

We dont know yet, I think AMD is hold back the release until more 133MHz capable motherboards come out.

AMD are releasing 133FSB Athlons very soon! You don't have to solder or overclock anything!

Could a person use a 133 T-Bird in a KT133 chipset, or a 100 T-Bird in a KT133A chipset? I would assume this would require unlocking?

using a 100MHz fsb cpu at 133MHz fsb would just o/c it. You can run a 100MHz fsb cpu at 100MHz fsb on a kt133a mobo.
