I can't believe there's even a comparison between these two films. True Lies FTW!!!!!

The part where Arnold's character uses government resources to spy on his wife was just out-right fun.

Sure Jolie is five times as hot as Curtis, but Smith was a second-rate action pic while True Lies is a classic big-budget popcorn movie.

while Angelina is way hotter, Mr. and Mrs. smith was the kind of movie you rent for a Friday evening, see and forget. the movie had to many explosions and the whole part where they try to kill each other and then have sex is so Cliché.

but since i haven't seen True Lies, i voted for Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

jamie lee curtis in true lies

its not even a question, true lies is a vastly superior film. mr mrs smith was overhyped nonsense. truely boring with lousy firefights and lousy chemistry..and of course lousy story. jolie makes for a smoking hot movie poster but like in the tomb raider films, that doesn't mean jack sh*t in the end. in true lies jamie lee curtis manages to be sexy, jolie in true lies looks like a model but u feel nothing.

Not end-all beat-all, but surely separate from the "taint" in opinions you describe here. You're welcome to think Mr & Mrs Smith is better, and certainly some would agree, but I'd say the majority feel otherwise. Tastes vary.
