They've had almost 5 months to figure out this vetting thing. Are they stupid? For anyone who has forgotten the vetting process for the refugees (you know the people we know nothing about supposedly) here is a link:

Yeah, I love the Trump administration argument that we need a temporary travel ban on Muslims entering the country until we can "figure out what is going on". But because the courts have struck down the travel ban, we can't even start "figuring out what is going on!" Never mind that we needed only 90 days to "figure out whats going on"..
The strategy of giving up on the travel ban, and just "figuring out what is going on" so they can start the process of stopping bad hombres from coming here doesn't seem to have occurred to them. Almost as if, somehow, the important point was banning muslims from the country and "figuring out what was going on" was a distant second.
The important point in all this was for Trump to "SAY OUT LOUD" to his loyal supporters that he was going to ban all Muslims from entering the country and kick the bad ones out. Doing it? Who cares? He just wanted to get a check mark next to his campaign promise. If courts stop him, that's on THEM. He did his best, but he was blocked at every turn! Sad. Move on.
The high court's action Monday means parts of the order Trump re-issued in March will go into effect until the justices decide on the legality of the measure. The court's order after nearly five months of legal uncertainty lets Trump's directive go forward with significant limitations in place.
As for those claiming "victory"...I would assume they reject Trump's position that his second "travel ban" EO was a craven and misjudged "politically correct" compromise? Trump has said on Twitter earlier the decision to reformulate the order was a mistake.
“The Justice Dept. should have stayed with the original Travel Ban, not the watered down, politically correct version they submitted to S.C.,”
