We can see why Trump has been going so hard after "fake news" recently. He has been trying to discredit the news media for this type of story. Unfortunately the leak came from the WH and his son confirmed.

That's the part that amazes me. He has come out and confirmed everything. Of course not he has to keep revising his story when he is confronted with more facts on what he left out the last time. And yet the faithful still cry fake news and dismiss it.

You of all people should know that you're dishonestly twisting and mis-characterizing campaign finance law which is expressly related to monetary donations and services having monetary value. But alas...this kind of horseshit is par for the course for you...and intellectual dishonesty is in your DNA it seems.

Yeh, publication of the hacked DNC & Podesta emails had no value... other than to turn the election.

To quote the statute specifically:

https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/11/110.20

Considering campaigns spend thousands or millions of dollars on opposition research, dirt on your political opponents is absolutely something of value.

So to recap you didn't understand the law in question and then when corrected immediately flew into a rage and started insulting people. You should apologize.
There is nothing in the law which specifically states that information has monetary value. In fact, FEC rulings of the "non-compensated" rule contradict your incredibly dishonest misinterpretation. Hell, the FEC even allowed a foreign national to raise $2.5 million for Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2008 ruling it as acceptable “volunteer service”. I'm not going to apologize one iota...because what I said is the bald-faced truth...you're about as intellectually dishonest as they come.

I can't even read your drivel anymore. You sound like you are so personally invested in this story that's it's affecting your ability to be honest. What are you arguing now? LEt's leave aside that lawyers far smarter than you do believe that this is an illegal action. Do you believe someone trying to solicit damaging info from foreign actors during a campaign should be illegal? You should hope there is a law that covers this and be outraged if there isn't one. Otherwise you really need to redefine what Patriotism means to you.

Take your 'team sport' crap and go home if you can't even muster a coherent rebuttal to the facts of the matter.

Jesus Christ dude, just admit when you are wrong. As usual as soon as your pride is threatened you lash out and start calling everyone else a liar while...well...lying yourself. It's pathetic and hypocritical.

The FEC ruled that foreign nationals could donate their uncompensated time to candidates if they want to. As a note, conservatives were absolutely outraged by this ruling in 2008. How interesting that their tune has conveniently changed. The idea that a lawyer connected to the Russian government was 'donating' opposition research on the other candidate as part of a meeting about softening sanctions on Russia is beyond belief for any remotely objective or rational person.

I know your pride is hurt, but suck it up.

Re-think what Patriotism means to you. Only you have to live with yourself. You should literally be embarrassed to call yourself smart and make such blatantly intellectually dishonest arguments. The people on FOX and in the GOP are paid to be intellectually dishonest. What is your excuse?

What you failed to realize was that the compensation that was to be received was in the form of eased sanctions and better Russian treatment which means it no longer falls under volunteer service.

Please cite ANY case where information was ruled by the FEC to be a monetary contribution/service subject to campaign finance laws...either that, or just stop with all your horseshit dishonesty.

The pathetic part is I'm seeing many conservatives elsewhere who are also saying nothing matters. Trump could have agreed to go soft on Russia in exchange for help in the election, and they would say it's fine. Even active duty/veterans are saying this.

Since you're so outraged, so patriotic, and so intellectually honest...please tell me how you feel about Clinton's campaign paying Fusion GPS for opposition research information directly solicited from foreign nationals.

I feel like she's not the president. Does that matter to you at all? Get over it. She lost.

She should be impeached, post haste.

You know the firm was originally hired by GOP operatives right?

Wait, wait, wait... you're going to lecture someone on dishonesty when you defend the Trump administration, which is dishonest 24/7? I'd like to see how you reconcile that particularly rank form of hypocrisy.

Information has been consistently held as a 'thing of value' throughout the US legal system for decades, perhaps centuries. I can't believe you're even trying to argue this.

Seriously, you owe us all an apology.
