Ha ha ha ha.

Now its trump's legal team suggesting its the Secret Service's fault?
https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-lawyer-defends-don-jr-meeting-says-secret-155645721.html
Saying that the SS vetted the meeting.

What a bunch of morons on this carnival shitshow. Lies, lies, lies. Reprehensible people on his crew.

They're throwing as much shit against the wall, to see what sticks.

Next they're going to blame Hillary; if she wasn't a candidate they wouldn't have had to have a meeting with the Russians in order to get dirt on her. It's all her fault and she should be in jail.

The narrative that Agalarov was a go-between for trump and putin here, just as he was previously for business deals, is very coherent and cohesive. In contrast no other narrative makes any sense. Agalarov's son acting on his own to hire a state lawyer to dupe his father's business partner makes not sense, the lawyer looking to risk likely death to dupe Trump makes no sense. There is literally no other story here that is even remotely as possible.

Leaving the thinking to the thinkers.

I just leave the speculating to the speculators. What I offered is indisputably the truth. Jr admits it. You taint that with unsupported speculation thus making it less credible.

What, if anything, that Jr obtained at the meeting doesn't matter. He was there for collusion, and that's entirely enough to condemn him. It's criminal conspiracy at best.

LOL...give it a day or so and T-Rump and company will pick it up from Fox...

https://thinkprogress.org/fox-news-...on-wanted-to-collude-with-russia-967682dab77a

That's what we call a real hum-dinger, huh? I'm nominating it for a "Best bullshit by a News commentator" Award at the Emmy's.

The evil Hillary must have cheated somehow to dupe Jr into being there... and only revealing it himself after the election... because six degrees of Kevin Bacon.

The mind aches in disbelief

The Secret Service's reply:

In an emailed response to questions about Sekulow's comments, Secret Service spokesman Mason Brayman said the younger Trump was not under Secret Service protection at the time of the meeting, which included Trump's son and two senior campaign officials.

"Donald Trump, Jr. was not a protectee of the USSS in June, 2016. Thus we would not have screened anyone he was meeting with at that time," the statement said.

You guys keep bringing this up and I gotta say something:

Fox News does not MAKE people stupid.
Stupid people are drawn to Fox News and since ratings are more important than providing information, they secretly switched over to the entertainment business while claiming to be journalists.

From a purely business standpoint it actually makes a lot of sense. There were always stupid, ignorant, racist assholes in America but for a little while it seemed like no one was catering to them. Fox saw a potential market and grabbed it. As a business student I see no shame in that.

As a human being with a soul it kinda irritates me, but thats life. The world doesnt work the way you want it to work.

I must sincerely apologize for my remarks here. I thought that Trump was fleecing rubes to raise a lot of campaign money that he could use for events to generate profits at his own hotels.

It turns out, he's also using it for his and Don Jr's defense fund.

Trump’s Re-Election Campaign Doubles Its Spending on Legal Fees

Again, I apologize for any harm I may have caused.
Show of hands all you dummies who donated to Trump running in 20...I mean his defense lawyers to keep his ass outta jail.

Imagine Trump gets convicted in court, shows up to prison day 1. The inmates taunt him with...

orange is the new black motherfucker

Fox doesn't make people stupid. They just convince 'em that they're right about all the stupid shit they believe in. They provide a comfy bunker o' denial.

FNC could easily change their tagline to Confirmation Bias and nothing would change in their programming or audience share.

How much conversation can you really have when the response is it just the media out to get Trump? It's all lies and fake news from anonymous sources that have illegally leaked things that aren't true but if they were true it would be illegal.

I don't know how you calmly and rationally explain to such people something like, "Hey, you were duped. it sucks, I get it. But what you are saying is a lie. You are being lied to. That's it. The media is not out to get Trump or to get you. These are facts. That's it. Your guy and his family lied to you over and over and over again. I'm sorry, but it happens. ...Let's move on from that, maybe?"

How do you approach such people? I get the feeling that they are so turtled up within their awful decisions and there really is no backing down because it has gotten so bad for Trump supporters and the truth that they must, eventually face. ...how does one get them off the ledge? I mean in the real world, because I also have family...you know, in SC.

Just because you're not the thinking type doesn't say much about thinking. For example, basing your conclusions exclusively on what Jr claims after the fact is pretty dumb.

Just because people are dishonest or racist doesn't make them "stupid" per se. It often pays off, and therefore in their rational self-interest.

I realize it's almost a rhetorical question at this point, but we just decided to not bring it up while down there. And if they bring it up just either change the subject or listen politely and not say anything to fire them up. I have a glimmer of hope for them both. They're both single issue voters(abortion) and both have advanced degrees but are otherwise pretty left-centrist in their day to day political views. So there is probably hope for them yet.

If you want an actual answer on how to get them off the ledge...perhaps research Watergate and what got people to change their minds. Unfortunately, it was Nixon resigning.

Wallace and some other Fox host have started calling Trump out on the BS. I wouldn't be surprised if more join in over time.
Let's remember that Trump said some very nasty & mean things about Fox pre RNC Conference
Trump may have burned another bridge.

I have family in SC as well and at least some of them have gone full Trump. I had to stop looking at their facebook feeds.

You miss the point entirely in the rush to speculate. It doesn't matter whether Jr received useful information or not. By his own admission, he sought collusion with the Russian govt. That's criminal intent. There is no proof of anything beyond that, merely speculation.

So Trump claims he didn't find out about Jr. until a few days before story broke. Odd that the Trump campaign paid legal fees for Jr 11 days before story broke. Another lie??
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...-story-broke/ar-BBEszD5?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=ientp

Interesting bit about the above two points ... kind of hints that Trump was there or knew about it at the time. First Sekulow trying to pin this on USSS is likely an admission that Trump was there or right around there. If USSS was present and vetting, it couldn't have been for Donny as he wasn't protected at the time. I don't believe the tower was either. Second, I doubt the campaign is going to pay Donny's attorney fees without known tightwad Sr being aware of it. And, for it to be legal, it has to be related to campaign activity. Not that they're going to do things the legal way. Bottom line, either way this stinks to high heaven.
