I think between gerrymandering, outright vote nullification at the state legislature level and Biden's poor ratings, the GOP is pretty much guaranteed to landslide win the next cycle or two. I've accepted that there's simply a period of authoritarianism headed our way with not much we can do about it.
The question is what happens after? Will it be a blip on the radar or is this the way it will be for several generations?

The people suffer but they don't have the willpower to overthrow him and he just flies under the radar because of "fake news".
The only solution is unpalatable to most.. divorce the country.
If you're not willing to do that.. just stay united under authoritarianism and be happy with beatings, kidnappings, shootings and disappearances if you say anything wrong against the powers that be.

Well, they held that Trump rally in good ole iOwa at the good ole iOwa State Fair Grounds. The rally that my Q niece was standing in line for from 3am. Trump came on stage at 8pm. Sure some loyal cult member if you ask me.
I watched some of the fat bastard on C-Span because, well, doesn't everyone enjoy watching a train wreck once in a while? Well, Trump hasn't changed. Still spewing THE BIG LIE, and all that insane rambling..... HOW can the crowd stand it ??? Oh that rambling going on and on and on and on and on. I noticed a lot of people sitting behind Trump were looking at their phones or looking up in the air as if to say GOD, GET ME OUT OF HERE.
As bad as those Trumpies claim Joe Biden to be, I'd take Joe's ramblings over Trump's ramblings any day. And on boy, does Donald Trump sound like a spoiled little brat. Harping on the stolen election, harping on this and harping on that. Making fun of the poor jobs growth while ignoring it was his piss-poor handling of the pandemic and all of those covid deaths under Trump that are directly hampering the jobs recovery now. And again, I noticed that one black man that always sits on stage behind Donald Trump in every Trump rally. The black guy always wearing the dark shades. Now I'm convinced Donald Trump pays this guy to fly around to every Trump rally because this is the same black guy.
