I detest Bolton because he's a Neocon desirous of world hegemony thru wars of aggression, like the invasion of Iraq. Greeted as Liberators & shit. Crimes against Humanity are just part of the program. OTOH, his observations about Trump are likely quite accurate. I doubt that Trump has lived up to the expectations of a lot of his voters, simply because he's an ignorant buffoon. Too bad they couldn't figure that out 4 years ago.
So you believe the war mongering neocon that's committed crimes against humanity, without actually knowing what he's written. I wish I could say I'm surprised.

Bolton has confirmed Trump tried to get Xi of China to interfere in the 2020 election. Remember Trump asked China in public on the White House lawn for help with the election

I have the book.
I've been calling Bolton an asshole since the 20th century.
Even asshole can call out incompetence. It's up to the reader to assess the accuracy.

I'm a reader and have familiarity with the subject matter.

It looks like since the judge said it might still have classified material in it he might lose any profit from it's sale, GOOD. He should have testified during the congress hearing if he felt trump unfit and treacherous, instead he held out for profit

i don't think bolton is hurting for money, book profits or not.

the information being out is more important than anything else, but agreed he's an asshole for not testifying before the house

No, I agree, he's hardly sweating rent, but was looking for a few quick million dollars.

What a lazy take—put some effort in next time. Fuck Bolton and the horse he rode in on. If he were a single voice calling out Trump’s schtick, I’d ignore him. But when he’s accompanied by Fiona Hill, Marie Yovanovitch, Alexander Vindman, Kurt Volker and Bill Taylor... not to mention James Mattis, H.R. McMaster, Richard Spencer, John Kelly, Rex Tillerson, Nikki Haley, Gary Cohn, Tom Bossert, hell over half of all the people Trump’s ever hired while President...well then I might just have to listen to the ol’ blowhard too.

I've started reading the Bolton book-so far is a very typical Washingtonian book-he goes on and on about how smart Bolton is and his early efforts to get a job in the Trump administration. It's a hard slog, I don't envy the reporters who had to pour through this drivel looking for the nuggets of news.

Hey Internet, do we hate John Bolton more than Michael Bolton now? Is that official? Confirmed?

after seeing Michael Bolton perform with the Lonely Island (NSFW):

& make fun of himself in this spoof of Office Space :

I have to say

Not so much for John Bolton. Likes war way to much and could have dropped this information during the impeachment hearings but instead is trying to make a buck off it.

I actually ground myself through the Bolton book. Everything that was a revelation was set forth in the news articles. There is no further substance in the book, which is mostly endless pages of how brilliant Bolton is and anyone who disagrees with him is an idiot. It was basically a whitewash. It is amazing to me that this book triggered any Trump anger, they should be thanking him. The latest development just show how vindictive and spiteful Trump and his pet Attorney General are.

is this good news or bad news?
Ask yourself if they would be opening the same investigation if the book praised Trump. Of course not.

Abuse of power is still very bad even if it's against very bad people like John Bolton.

Could be a win-win in this upside down world. Bolton is a shitheel and deserves anything that happens to him. His book is out there, few people paid for it.

I’ll say it again. I can’t wait for the next Democrat President to use this new power.

Democrats would have to be very carful doing anything of the sort. The fact is, unlike conservatives, Democrat voters will not suffer such open corruption. A Democratic controlled Senate will impeach a Democratic President that does the things Trump has done.

Yes, this is likely true.

What the #bothsides idiots don't understand is that the two parties really are different, and different in a very fundamental way. Tribalism exists in both parties, but for all practical purposes tribalism is the ONLY thing that animates the Republican Party. Democrats would remove a president like Trump because they would (correctly) view him as damaging their ability to enact their agenda. Republicans have no agenda other than making Democrats mad. If anything, removing him would harm their agenda by giving a win to the evil ones.

Trump turns the DOJ into a personal and political weapon to use against his enemies sure doesn't seem to elicit much concern from the people who were, incorrectly, screaming non-stop about the IRS persecuting conservatives.

The iron rule is that whenever Republicans complain about the Democrats doing something, imagined or not, they really only want to do that thing turned up to 11. Total projection.

Throwing crap at the wall and seeing if it sticks. Would you trust the outcome of a trial that it seems would have to be classified with THIS administration?

Quibble: they've already done that thing, and are accusing their opponents of it so that they can come out on the attack and never worry about having to play defense on it.
