Biden should close the border and close it for at least a year....

There's no need for influx of these people.

1) Closing the border would cause a catastrophic recession - why would we do that on purpose?

2) Closing the border would violate federal law. Should the president follow the law or not?

Economics says otherwise.

Why do hate America and want to weaken our economic future?

Oh that's right, you're a Russian troll and that is your goal.

Do we have to turn every oyher page of every thread on here into shitting on PCGeek for voting for Trump in the past? He says he isn't going to this time, shitting on him won't changing the past but might change the future. A ton of people voted for Trump in the past, it's probably more productive to attempt to convince to not to again than to dunk on them for their past votes.

My mom votes straight dem nowadays, but voted for Nixon in '72, do you want her number to dunk on her for that vote too?

"Why have Republicans defunded the border?"
This is what I was telling people earlier when they said the Republicans torpedoing this won't matter. Yes, it will!

It's not that Biden is going to suddenly win on immigration but it gives him a quick, easy, and obviously true way to deflect criticism. 'I made a deal to secure the border and Trump Republicans sabotaged it.'

Only this Republican Party could let the Democrats outflank them right on the border. Truly phenomenal performance.

For those claiming all Biden has to do is close the border and he doesn't need legislation I want to refer them to the law.

"USC 1158 pertains to asylum in the United States. It states that any alien physically present in the U.S. or arriving in the U.S., regardless of their status, may apply for asylum. Asylum is granted to those who meet the criteria of being a refugee as defined in section 1101(a)(42)(A) of the U.S. Code"

"USC 1182 deals with inadmissible aliens. It outlines the grounds on which an alien may be deemed inadmissible to the United States. These grounds include factors such as criminal history, health-related issues, security concerns, and more. If an alien falls under any of these grounds, they may be denied entry or removed from the U.S. based on sections 1229a and 1231 of the U.S. Code"

Here is a well informed caller to a radio show explain why Biden can't just "close the border" and why we need new legislation". Listen carefully has he refutes all of the Republican complaints about Biden's border enforcement.

They are sure pissed about the Californians coming in.
It is probably my being a California resident that created the context from which that sense of amusement arose. We Californians are beloved everywhere especially since we can sell a 1000 sq. ft. house here and buy a cattle ranch there.

That was not my point.

My point is Trumps actions have been consistent for the past 50 years.

Trump is who he is he has not changed.

Pretty much PCgeek is saying he was ok with Trump for the last 49 years but year 50 nope i cannot take him anymore..

If PCgeek came back and said said something specific that crossed his line then i would have dropped it.

He hasn't said his 2016 was a mistake, despite everything we've seen. We all knew who he was BEFORE the election. Somehow he didn't.

At least Taj renounced Trump. Maybe he got back on that train after, who knows.

Did you get that from Kevin Sorbo?

Personally I think I he should run for the office of homeland security
Come on with that crap, Sorbo is not a John Wayne type.

Immigration needs to be curtailed, Biden will lose on this and inflation.

I really poked at you to get a reaction to the ongoing (speaking of Trumpism) MO of the republican house. I am thinking that as a life long republican like yourself it must hurt a little to see it dysfunctional like that? As a marine on top of that, the fumbling of Ukraine and aiding of Russia must be further chilling and maddening to someone like you.
I assume.

*Sticks mike in pcgeeks face*

... Comments?
Yes it is quite maddening to see how dysfunctional the entirety of the Government is at the moment. I know I'll get beat up for it, but both sides are doing the same shit.

I think the Republicans should have taken the deal offered on the border and funding even though I wasn't too fond of the nearly 5K a day average border crossing before they would close the border. The rest I thought was good. These ass hats in Congress think that any compromise they make is considered as them losing which is blatantly wrong.
