Yeah... read the guardian piece on this,,Pence is telling GOP Senators that, despite Trump's pledge to stop joint exercises with South Korea, that isn't really going to happen. A Pence spokesperson said that, despite Senator Cory Gardner's claims, Pence did not say that.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/l...ngapore-us-president-north-korea-kim-jong-un-

I hope someone is mapping this out on a giant wall chart. It's harder and harder to keep up...

So...the upshot of the summit: we agree to stop military exercises (but not really, wink wink) and the North agrees to maybe de-nuke (but not really, wink wink). Peace prizes for everybody!

Elect a clown. Expect a circus.

Was just watching the clips of photo ops. Was this the worst hair international summit ever held? Actually..The hair distracted the eyes from their ill-fitting suit's. Trump's red tie seemed to be bigger...even for him. Perhaps it's an attempt to make Trump look smaller.

Also..A reporter asked Trump if he had any notes from his meeting with Kim to refer back to, and he said he didn't need notes because he has one of the greatest memories of all time..lol

That he can be offended by our most steadfast ally and neighbor Canada, but then think nothing of making this insult to SK by cutting them out of the loop like that...wow.

Too early to tell if this is for real, but knowing the track records of both North Korea and Trump doesn't inspire confidence. I'm more worried the worst negotiator we've ever had, who incidentally also has shit for brains) is going to get played, with our security footing in Asia and international reputation paying the price (again).

Bully and insult allies, warmly embrace dictators who execute their own family members. Wtf people. There was something so revolting about hearing Dump's praise of Un on the radio today, put me right off my feed. The world's current Crimes Against Humanity champ getting a verbal handjob by our CiC. Putin's probably breaking dishes somewhere, listening to a lot of Sam Smith.

Strength is a relative thing. Putin is fine with Trump tearing down "The West" of which the ROK & Japan are integral parts. It just gives him more room to move.

Trump’s gonna need a mop to get all the the drool off his ass from Hannity rants tonight, he’s comparing him to Saint Regan and whining about Maddow and Hayes and Joe not being there to see the art of the deal in person as he did. .

If Obama would've done this you hyper-partisan fools would've figured out a way to have been on the tarmac at Andrews with another Nobel.
He wanted to do this but your fools excoriated him for it. Would have ben smarter with much more preparation and not all the up front giveaways. It would have been the start of the race not just showing up at the finish line, claiming I'm done here now give me my credit.

Wanna bet that changes when he speaks to Mueller? Then again can Mueller use that quote and the other times he said it to not accept, "I cannot recall"? Since you have the greatest memory of time if you claim "I can't recall" you get slapped with a perjury charge.

Hell of a negotiator just give stuff away and don't ask for anything. And thats with a murdering dictator. How proud as a county we must be. Despite all the killing and hardship this evil man has done to his own people trump calls him a good guy.

He tossed NK a bone as a show of good faith.
If anyone other than Trump had done this you fellows wouldn't be able to hide your erections. Because it's Trump the whole thing is a waste of time, a mistake, a loss, embarrassing. Get over it.
This could very well be just another in a long line of broken promises by whats his name. If so, we've lost nothing. But if there is a chance that NK is willing to give up it's nukes for a few bucks and a promise to never attack them, it's worth pursuing.
It all has to start somewhere, someone has to make a move in the right direction, someone has to give a little. If it ends up in the shitter then that's the end of it, and nothing is lost. If it works out then the whole world wins and we can all pretend that Trump just moved on groundwork that Obama put in place. Everyone walks away happy.

This was supposed to be the greatest deal made since Ancient times and this is all the deal we got? Come on man. Can't you see the sadness of it all?

The first sentence is correct. The rest is projection. Given the way the GOP greeted Obama's overtures to Iran it seems more than likely any overtures towards the DPRK would have received the same treatment.

It was all axis of eeevil we don't negotiate with terrarists until Trump came along. Now it's different because... well, because Trump could shoot somebody, obviously.

I hope it works. The way the two sides are saying different things about what was agreed upon is more than a little unsettling, however.

Trump is now saying ending the joint exercises was just to save money, anyway, not as a concession. Go figure.

I like to keep up with the crazy on the right. It's funny in a sick way to watch such a master of hypocrisy.

Oh I respect your strategy but I can't watch that fucking evil guy on tv, I can only read summaries of what he said to kind of keep up with what the enemy is doing. Watching him just got too sickening. You, dear sir, have an iron stomach.

Maybe you should work on your reading skills.

In case anyone needs reminding:

This is pcgeek's original, brilliant, insightful post:

This thread is a poop show.
Does it really matter what he does? I have a feeling that it doesn't as the same posters would still be bitchin about the same,,,

Your post was whining and playing the victim card for Trumpy. You didn't really have a point.

Trump is on twitter claiming there is no longer a nuclear threat from North Korea.

Seems a teensy bit premature to say the least...

There really wasn't a threat before. The whole outrage was just fabricated imo just for a day like this. Seriously Kim doesn't want to die and if he used any nukes his country and himself would be gone. Everyone knows this.™
