The force awakens was just a remake of A New Hope. And really, in many ways Return of the Jedi was just a tweaked remake of A New Hope.

The Last Jedi was great, specifically because it tried to do something new and move the franchise in new and interesting directions. The casino planet was dumb though.

Also I have to say I hated the rise of skywalker more than I hated any of the prequels, and that’s not easily done considering how much I hated the prequels. It takes the entire empire years and massive resources to build one single Death Star but the resurrected emperor Tony Starks up 1,000 of them with the help of a couple cosplayers. So fucking stupid. There better never be another ‘someone made a planet destroying super weapon’ plot line ever again in a Star Wars movie. I’m so, so sick of them.

It was "OK" for why it existed, but everything after? just a dump. a literal shit in our mouths: on their own, each film? maybe? ...but the whole thing after TFA just ate itself in some self-cannibalism Pizza-the-Hut-desperate-suicide out-ro.

TLJ would have worked better if the following film didn’t try to retcon it out of existence to please a few neckbeards. Having no coherent vision or overarching plot between three movies that were supposed to tell one story was a terrible idea.

I mean imagine if in the first scene of ROTJ Vader was like LOL JUST KIDDING, NOT YOUR DAD.
