To my knowledge, neither Apple nor Google has ever deployed a “kill switch” by deactivating apps previously downloaded. IIRC both have acknowledged that they have the capability.So if Apple removes Parlor (or Google from play store) will already downloaded copies still function or does the app
have to route through the download point?.
Pretty simple, really. The MAGA crowd wants to remove the Section 230 protections that, ironically, protect the tech companies from liability for MAGA speech on their platforms. I mean, these assholes are plotting violent insurrection and other criminal, if not downright treasonous, activities on twitter, etc, and at the same time, they want twitter, etc to be potentially legally liable for the actions resulting from their speech.Really looks like tech world is bringing the hammers down on MAGA life all over the place.
