It's finally at the... "Okay, I feel safe that he won't be able to retaliate against big tech at this point so do the thing that we have been waiting to do for the last 3 years."
Oh look, it's that same 'libertarian' who was upset about not paying more taxes to the police now whining that private business must be forced to publish govt opinion.

Of course, but since the tweets are being censored/deleted Twitter would have to be sending them in.
I saw 3 of those tweets he made to the POTUS account right on the TV news tonight. By hitting my pause button I could have read them all but I saw enough that I didn't want to read the rest. Yes, could be used against him during the impeachment proceedings.

Edit: On TV news last night they said that DJT had been warned by Twitter not to use the POTUS Twitter account to continue his Twitter propaganda.

It seems that, in my opinion, journalistic sources sharing his deleted/removed tweets is in poor taste.

Are those definitely him? I don't see if there's any way to know for sure. His account being shut down (not sure that 'suspended' is the right word for a permanent removal, no matter what Twitter calls it, surely suspensions are temporary by definition?) would likely lead to lots of people trying to pretend to be his reincarnation?

But I really want to believe they are him. He must be going nuts, in a kind of WWYBYWB-frenzy.

If trump were to start posting here he'd be treated like all the other trolls and right wing idiots, his ass would be repeatedly handed to him and he would repeatedly look to the mods to save his snowflake ass but eventually he would leave and find a new home in safe space on the internet somewhere.

Trump is no different than some of those who post here, if he signed up under an anonymous name no one would know the difference.
I think he would have his feelings hurt if he logged on here. Can someone send him a link?

Stay safe everyone. We only need look back 80 years ago in how Hitler rose to power. While it was the right thing to do, further alienating an entire segment of the population will have consequences. We already know a lot of law enforcement are on his side.

I hope your army is there to protect you if things get bad. I fear this coup attempt was testing the waters for the real thing when we all think Trump is gone.

You do understand the vote required in the Senate to convict/uphold the articles of impeachment isn't 67, right?

It's 2/3 of the senators present. Note the word present. Not 2/3 of the entire Senate, just 2/3 of those present when voting.


Article 1, Section 3:

The Senate shall have the sole Power to try all Impeachments. When sitting for that Purpose, they shall be on Oath or Affirmation. When the President of the United States is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside: And no Person shall be convicted without the Concurrence of two thirds of the Members present.

They're verified accounts either from his campaign or people close in his orbit. (e.g. Gary Coby is Trump's digital director) So it's not randos trying to pretend to be him for the lulz. And folks saw the Trump tweets from them before twitter nuked the accounts.

It's unreal to me (not really) that Trump doesn't understand the first amendment and how it relates to platforms like Twitter.

TBH, I disliked seeing his twisted perverted tweets during newscasts during his presidency. I certainly am not one of the 88 million followers he HAD. I would never see them, otherwise the TV coverage, which I did not like. I didn't always read them. If I did, I frequently hit FF or looked away before finishing them because I was so offended. He IS OFFENSIVE.

I agree, sharing his deleted tweets was in bad taste. Absolutely.

I don't know the ins and outs but it would be great if the grifting could be exposed and prosecuted. Money's donated for certain purposes (in particular the court battles concerning alleged fraud in the election) didn't go to the stated purposes. I hear that the fine print enabled this. I heard that they money is (at least in part) going to Trump's ambitions to run again in 2024. Isn't there a limit to the power of large print, then fine print to deceive people?
