Honestly, I've said this before that I find the ignore list a last resort. I do not try to silence people, even when I disagree with their opinions.

What possible egotism tells you that you are qualified to judge when something is a last resort. Someone too weak to carry a bag of cement will use a wheelbarrow as a last resort. What is a last resort for you may be to a person of wisdom a nonexistent obstacle.

The "I'm smarter than you" attitude is just grating.

All this statement means is that in your opinion you project an attitude that because you feel inferior it is me who is trying to make you feel that way. That's not stupid. You were made to feel inferior and any awakening to the fact that you feel that way coming from what I say to you just reminds you of that inferior feeling. I don't see you that way at all. Naturally though, if you feel stupid you will act that way if you lack self awareness.

It's why, when I sometimes respond to Moonbeam, that I say I am making a statement and I'm not going to go back and forth with him/her/it. When he/she/it's attitude is closed off and set in concrete, there's no way to change it.

What you call statements are opinions. You just don't like them challenged. You are like conservatives in this respect. That's my opinion.

And it's why I have just glazed over his/her/its posts most of the time. There's practically zero value in most of the posts. His/her/its psychobabble is just fluff,

People who have been made to feel repugnant because their guardians failed to draw their up to the light by example but instead tried beating the darkness out of them will repress those behaviors rather than growing out of them. Once they are repressed, however, they will leak out.

What I see in Vance is very little. I have no interest in giving him my attention. I don’t enjoy reveling in disgust at another person’s depravity. I know what happened to him, that he is sick for reasons, and that he acts in ways you define as depraved because he was made to feel that way.

The mentally ill can appear as disgusting because because our culture revels in dishing out guilt and shame.

We can feel disgust that a person like this is a member of congress. That is disgusting. You might argue there are even worse people in congress but i was always told two wrongs make it more disgusting not a right.

Of course you can feel anything you like. I am perfectly aware of what disgust feels like. I am not arguing there may be worse members in Congress. There very well may be but that's not my point. I am suggesting that the feeling of disgust is the result of an evolutionary phenomenon that makes us puke up rotten food and avoid it in the future. I am saying that we were made to feel we are that rotten food as children when we exibited perfectly normal behaviors for children to manifest, that we learned what disgusting feels like by such experiences and that to heal from that sort of useless self hate we need to let go of such judgments since we are unconsciously feeling them about ourselves.

I am not saying I am superior to you in that I don't feel repulsed by some things. I am saying I see that behavior in me and others as a reaction we would not experience were we self aware of how we acquired contempt. I am not saying I am fully aware. I am saying I see when I feel such things I know they are the result of being asleep. I do not want to feed the ego structure that self justifies being that way. I see this as a necessary realization for those who aim for self understanding. Doubtless it's not for everybody but what chance does anybody have without some kind of challenge to the notion we are not actually asleep. Good luck to you.

My guess is that it’s along the same line as the “she became black” line of attack. Like, “she has a weird ethnic name, but she’s hiding the fact that she has a perfectly white-bread last name, so she’s faking being ethnic for votes?

Or ... it is similar to him calling Nikki Haley “Nimarata”. He wants something he can use to make Kamala "The Other" by scaring people with an exotic last name. Her mother’s maiden name is Gopalan but since she got married before Kamala was born, Kamala’s last name has always been Harris. Someone should clue Trump in that he already has all the racists in the bag for votes and they already decided they aren’t going to vote for her, there’s no need to oversell it.
